La Baguette French Bistro

We were the last customers of the day. Our soup and sandwich, as always, took a bit of time but was tasty nicely plated and hot. I did not appreciate the hostess, not only mopping the floor near us, but sweeping under the tables. I wanted to walk out but w soup one can't do that. We did take our sandwiches home.

I've always enjoyed lunch at this restaurant, so I was excited to try dinner, but unfortunately, it was quite a disappointment. I ordered the Farfalle Chicken Andouille Casserole, which arrived steaming hot, but it seemed like it had been microwaved. The sauce was watery instead of creamy, and the pasta tasted like it was prepackaged, lacking that homemade touch I expected. It didn't feel like anything was made from scratch.My husband ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, and he was also disappointed. The steak tasted like it had been frozen and microwaved, and the vegetables were prepackaged, with no seasoning and a crunchy, undercooked texture. The mashed potatoes were okay, but nothing special.Given how great the lunches usually are, dinner felt like night and day in comparison. I hope the quality improves for dinner service, as I know this restaurant is capable of much better.Our waitress was sweet and attentive, and she felt embarrassed about our experience, even though it wasn't her fault since she didn't prepare the dishes. She was very apologetic and tried her best to help. We ended up paying only for the steak.

Good atmosphere, but mediocre food. The waitress was very nice. The onion soup was good, but the baguette looked like a mediocre store-bought version, definitely not homemade. They also messed up our order and forgot the French dip sandwich. When it finally arrived, it was too salty and didn't compare to the real French dips I've had at other places. Would not go again.

*Five stars for the french onion soup* The espresso in the cappuccino had a weak flavor. The aesthetic of the dining room was super cute with French themed art and pretty, gothic chandeliers. Service was okay, nothing extra to make you feel welcomed. The server just took our order and runner brought over our food. Straight forward. The sandwiches were meh. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items. I would def return for the french onion soup.

Great location. Food is wonderful. I haven't had anything I didn't like. Service tends to be slow because they are always busy, but definitely worth the wait. Lots to look at while you wait. Excellent pastries!

The service was very good. However, I was expecting the same food as the old colorado city venue. I was disappointed. The combination dish i usually get has a full bowl of French onion soup with a small lovely salad with a light tarragon dressing and a nice roll. This one was a small cup of soup a large salad with a heavier dressing and no roll. I ordered a croissant, which was heavy and greasy. I sent it back. Very disappointing.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. french onion soup was not packaged correctly - lid was not secured, spilled, burned through the paper bag, leaked into the plastic bag and then spilled in my car. when i called the establishment to ask for a refund for the soup or a replacement - they said they will not do either. i requested to speak to someone else and they employee denied that request as well. i have been a customer at this restaurant for a few years now and have never had this issue with take out orders previously - very unhappy with the customer service and will not be returning to this establishment.

I am definitely going to be a returning, possibly frequent, customer to La Baguette French Bistro. The service was decent; there were only 2-4 other tables being served but all the better lol. This could be a romantic date location, a fantastic place for breakfast or brunch, read quietly, whatever really. My omelette was to die for and the French toast (I was allowed to try a piece by my loving esposa lol) was absolutely delicious. I also had an espresso and my beautiful wife had a cappuccino, which she enjoyed. 5 stars all day and we will be back!

This place has been on my list since before we even moved to Colorado Springs. Finally came here with a friend last night before our musical and so glad we did! I had a small salad with a tarragon dressing that was delicious but the star of the show was the French onion soup. I was trying to think of the last time I had one even close as good as it was from here and I could not remember a time! So good and would love to come back and try more off the menu!

Service was soooo slow. Food was decent. Murals on the wall were great. Decor was dusty, especially in women's restroom.
