My two brothers and I did the VIP membership (it's kind of like a season pass where you get all you can eat courses). Robert and the entire operation are really fantastic. We live in Denver but happily make the drive down south towards Colorado Springs for his classes. They are engaging, practical, and we spend more time shooting than talking. Among the things we appreciated most was that he does not force "the one and only way to do X". Having done other training classes, Robert will show you what he recommends and why. If you find it doesn't work for you, no problem (as long as it's safe). For those looking at his course, know that you are moving, shooting, running drills. You work through scenarios and build up your skill sets from a single task to multiple tasks with heavy distractions. This is not the training where you stand in a line and fire.We did all of his classes except intro to Carbine. We even splurged for the precision Rifle and Advanced pistol classes that weren't part of our membership level. The three of us loved the classes and very much enjoyed working with Robert. I would very much suggest that anyone thinking of taking this class does so. To that end, we signed right up for that VIP program and thought it was more than worth the spend.

Full disclosure: I've known Robert for a few years and consider him to be a friend.I've taken many of his classes, and I've taken classes with numerous other instructors in the area. Robert is an excellent instructor. He's very good at focusing in on a problem and showing me how to correct it. He's very good at explaining why it's important to do it "this" way, and why it's better than doing it "that" way. In the time I've been taking classes with Robert my shooting speed and accuracy have increased. My hair has grown thicker, I've become more attractive to the opposite sex, I've received 5 promotions at work, and my Johnson has grown 10 inches. Okay. I made some of those up. But my shooting has improved significantly. An issue that Robert takes very seriously is safety. I've sat in classes where I was flagged by instructors. That's never cool. Robert harbors a super safe environment. I've never been uncomfortable in one of his classes. He starts every range session by reviewing his safety policy and emergency protocol.Robert is an excellent instructor and KTG is an excellent organization. I cannot recommend him or it enough!

I have been looking at Kenaz for a while now waiting for the opportunity to take a class. Yesterday I went in for the (I believe) first ever Pistol Fundamentals class. Having been in the military for a few years I don't consider myself a beginner but it has been a while since I have done any serious shooting and I wanted to refresh myself on the basics. As would be expected, when you arrive at the range you sign in at the clubhouse and pay the range fee- $25. After the other members of the class arrived we moved down the range roads to the area we would be in. There was a short introduction period and then the meat of the class started. The class covered basic safety rules, range commands, and of course the fundamentals of marksmanship. From there we went into some dry fire practice and our instructor Robert went down the line checking our stance, manually actuating the slide to check grip, and watching our fingers during trigger reset- things that I hadn't seen done even in the military. Live fire took place at about 3 yards or so and consisted of 1 round at a time on a roughly 1" dot on a cardboard silhouette. Depending on individual proficiency shooters were either allowed to vary between 2-5 round strings or remained at 1 round per fire command. Additionally, shooters were allowed to draw and fire- again, depending in individual proficiency and approval from the instructor. Between strings we would consolidate on the targets where Robert would evaluate them and give feedback to each shooter. By the end of class everyone had improved on one thing or another and even the newer shooters had some ragged holes; not bad for a two hour class.Overall the class was a great experience and I'm looking forward to the next time my schedule allows me to take a course.
