This has become my fav sushi spot in the Springs! First, the location is great because they have plenty of parking, it's not downtown so no parking meters, and easy to get to since it's off Powers The AYCE options are awesome. The daily lunch special (even on the weekends!) is a solid option is you're not doing AYCE. Service is quick and their staff are friendly.

This is a great option, especially for the AYCE sushi price, which includes apps, rolls, and an ice cream dessert.I've been to Kanpai twice now, and had a good experience overall. While their rolls/sauces are on the sweeter side (even the ones marked as spicy) the portions are great, and service is always hospitable.I do prefer their hand rolls over the nigiri's tho (the fish in the nigiri can be a hit or miss at times) Overall, a good option if you're craving sushi and want that AYCE experience. They also serve beer on tap and wine, sake etc.Indoor seating is kinda cramped so be prepared for tables very close to each other.

Bright and airy and clean! We were greeted by the sweetest lady and seated quickly as it was still early in the evening on a Tuesday, our son's birthday. I cannot sufficiently express how delightful everything was! The sushi and soups were amazing and tasty. The portions generous. I will come back any time!!

Food was decent and so was the service but I probably won't be back. There wasn't really anything that stood out for me and there are better sushi options in town. The chicken nuggets from the kids menu was very disappointing. They were legit the Dino nuggets from Costco. Lol

I moved here from the coast so I was hesitant to try seafood in Colorado. But I've eaten here five or six times now and the experience I have is always the same: really polite people, great service, and good food. I live an hour away so coming here is something I plan to do and always enjoy.

This is a top favorite here for us in the springs. The employees are awesome and always a pleasure and we probably end up here four times a month for their lunch special from 11-3. Don't sleep on this spot and come enjoy some sushi!

Came in last night (6/10/24) with my husband for an impromptu date night. We had recently heard great things about Kanpai and wanted to try for ourselves. We did the all you can eat option and really enjoyed ourselves. Everything we tried (mostly nigiri) was delicious. The Mickey Mouse was something so unique and fun nigiri wise. I'd never tried anything like it before. The service was so incredibly friendly and efficient. The restaurant is incredibly clean and really lovely. The patio seating is such a nice touch as well. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back again.

Very good sushi! It was an afternoon visit, there were other customers in the restaurant and just leaving. The restaurant was extremely clean and the service was prompt and friendly. I had the Rocky Mountain roll and the volcano roll with all red tuna. Then I also had the caterpillar roll. The rice was fresh and moist. The caterpillar roll was very good, but not what I was expecting, has it really had the flavor of creamy avocado and I really couldn't taste the eel as much as I wanted to. The other two rolls which I customized with all red tuna instead of what normally comes on them, we're fantastic. Wonderful flavors, great textures, very fresh taste to the fish and the wasabi was good and hot. I will be back.

My biggest gripe is that the price for All You Can Eat Sushi changed although here on Yelp it lists the lunch version for $19.95 (it is not, it's $37.95). Kinda sucked because that was the reason we went here. I went with the combo box instead. Was ok. It was a generous portion. The food is ok (edible) but nothing to rave about. They have a lot of different kinds of rolls here -- more of a personal preference but so many of their rolls have crazy names & wacky ingredient combinations. Not every roll needs mayo and has to be deep fried and I think they kind of went overboard. It takes a ton of time trying to decode the name of the roll and its ingredients. Server was very nice.But I would not come back here again. Mediocre food, the differences in prices between how it's advertised on Yelp and the restaurant feels kinda like a bait and switch. There's a lot more options in town.
