This taco shop is tucked away in a little shopping center, but I find it convenient for my travel and errands around that area. I have dined in before; however, this time I called in for carry out. Customer service over the phone was friendly and easy to order with. It was no different upon arriving and picking up my order. I ordered one carne asada fries which was ready when promised. I like the fact that they have a salsa bar which includes about 4 various hot sauces, cucumbers, limes, and carrots. The sauces are pretty flavorful and the limes seemed fresh. I do love carrots but the ones they had this visit were looking a bit rough and dry. Could be a one off as I've had carrots here before and they were good then. Not a deal breaker and I'll visit again.

I went in on a weekday evening to order to-go. The place was pretty empty, so I received my food very quickly. We ordered carne asada fries, a California burrito, and a carnitas plate. The carnitas plate was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. The carne asada fries were delicious and piled high with toppings. They also had an all 'you can grab' salsa bar with different types of salsas, grilled jalapeños, and pickled carrots and onions.Pricing is similar to other casual fast food type Mexican restaurants. Menu options are also the same. Wouldn't mind returning to try something else!

This is the 3rd time I have been to Julian's & it just gets better. Very simple menu, generous portions & pricing is fair. Upon arrival, there was 1 person ahead of me, but the wait time was minimal. I ordered a Carne Asada Chimichanga with a side of rice & beans (on the same plate) & I ordered my husband enchiladas (one ground beef, one chicken & one cheese with extra red chile sauce) with rice/beans. I also decided to try their fountain soda, which I noticed was Real Sugar Soda Colorado. The gentleman who took my order was very polite & I felt as though my food came up quickly. The smell during my 5 minute drive home was incredible & at this point I was excited to dig in!!! I was super impressed by the overall flavor. I felt as though it tasted like quality ingredients were used, it was a portion so large I ate the other 1/2 for lunch the next day & I love that it was topped with sour cream & guacamole without my asking. My husband was also very pleased by the enchiladas & our dinner consisted of very little talking!! I'm thankful that Julian's opened here in the Springs. It's a great carry out restaurant, probably a really awesome quick lunch stop. I also appreciated the offerings of salsa & small containers to take that to go also. Lastly, having a fantastic CO brand soda on fountain was great!! We will definitely be back anytime we're looking for a tasty quick meal to go!!! Highly recommended!!

I've eaten here a few times now and I kind of have mixed feelings about it. First, I like that it's not the same as every other taco shop in town. They get an extra star just because of that. Another thing I like is they have taco Tuesday! Love that they are doing this, since it seems to be hard to find in the springs. The tacos are quite tasty, but also rather small and less meat than in the other taco shops in town. I would say normal hunger level would need the five taco deal in order to feel like you had a satisfying meal. The chili Verde plate. Meh. It was kinda soupy, which chili verde is, but served in a container so that the liquid was all over the "salad", too. Left me full. I felt like I was eating authentic Mexican food. But it was also somewhat flavorless.Today I tried the carne Asada plate. One thing I love is that they heat up the meat and the HUGE extra large tortilla on the grill to order. The benefit is that you're not getting all the grease that you get in some of the other taco shops in town. LOVE THIS! Something I don't care for is that the rice and beans are served lukewarm. This has been my experience on three out of the four occasions I've been here. Like, I want to heat them up. So today I took my order to go, so that I could do just that. I don't recall this from previous visits, but something else I didn't care today for was that the guacamole was watered down. Watered down your ask? Yeah, it was gross. I would rather have them leave off guacamole then give me some watered down goopy version that was flavorless and really just not appealing at all... no thank you. They have a little salsa bar on the counter. Mild, hot and a special salsa available as well as well as cucumbers and carrots. I like both the hot and the special salsa's. If you'd like to add a little heat, that's the way to go.The restaurant is clean, not fancy, and has a fast food appeal to it, like the other taco shops in town. I've never been here where there is more than a couple people waiting for food, but the service is made to order and pretty fast. A fairly big menu to choose from, as well.

If you haven't tried Julian's Taco Shop yet, I highly recommend it! Located in the shopping center by Safeway off Austin Bluffs and Woodman. Tried them over the weekend and their food and salsas were absolutely delicious. We tried the carne asada and Adobada burritos, they also had a salsa bar with fresh roasted jalepeno. They were large in portion, definitely authentic tasting, the price was right and we will definitely be going back soon. They also sell Menudo daily which is nice as most places only sell on the weekends. They also serve breakfast, weekly specials and I saw their taco Tuesday has 3 for $6 or 5 for $10 tacos! I don't have any pics of the food was too busy enjoying it but definitely recommend checking them out!

Absolutely amazing food. The owner was so nice to us, very fair prices. This has to be the best Mexican food in Colorado Springs. Ricardo and Naomi are who helped us. 10/10.
