John Venezia Park

Went there numerous times over the weekend of 5/19/24. Always looking for new parks for my son. The entire park is for toddlers. Nothing is too high. Everything is low to the ground for the little kids. A lot of tables for events. Lots of green space.

We love John Venezia Park! It's so well equipped (except for not having any kind of soap in the bathrooms!) with a variety of activities - pickleball & tennis courts near a small playground on the east side, a massive turf field in the middle and a huge playground, tons of pavilions, a sand pit, splash pad and another smaller turf area on the west side of the park. It's always a hit!

This park is great and has lots of different play sections for the kids. There's a sand pit with a platform and digging toy alongside some normal swings and some of the large disc-type swings. There is a huge merry-go-round (of sorts, it has a netting so it is difficult to fall off of) and a large play structure. Up the stairs are several pavilions. If you walk to the other parking lot, you'll come across a few fields, a splash pad, bathrooms, and a turf area. There's usually an ice-cream vendor on this side. I've never been here and not seen a ton of kids everywhere: every field and play structure.My only complaint is that this is a super windy area. There isn't much around to block the wind, so it just gets unrelenting at times.

I'm almost hesitant to post this review because I don't want to let the word out, but the pickleball community at John Venezia Park is so friendly and welcoming. Yes, players are competitive but welcome newcomers and are willing to teach people the game. LOVE IT!

Why do you close the bathrooms in winter? People don't stop needing to poop and pee in the winter. Absolutely ridiculous. The park is not friendly to people with urinary or bowl problems or small kids. Visits are short because there is no bathroom to use, and the entrence is one way, so leaving and coming back is a headache.

Beautiful view! Great place to take kiddos, several playgrounds, splash pad, pavilions, etc. Nice place to take a walk, play some tennis or basketball on one of the courts, or just sit and watch the sunset.

Came on a sunny Saturday afternoon, what an awesome clean park. The splash pad was running but it was a tad too windy to enjoy. My son loved the playground and it was big enough to enjoy with all the kids, and parties that were there. We brought a mat and laid it out on the turf. Which was great to take a break for snacks. We also brought my sons tricycle and he loved riding it around the park. Really enjoyed this park and look forward to coming back again.
