I spent $15 on a cold vegetarian deli sandwich. I'm wondering where the avocado and pesto are. Disappointing.

The staff there are really nice and warm! I think his name is John? He recommended fudge and cranberry cheese flavor. SO good.

Joe's Famous Deli and Homemade Ice Cream is located on Bridge Street in the heart of Vail Village. Their menu includes breakfast items, grilled sandwiches, cold sandwiches, hot drinks and other items. FYI - you'll need to descend a flight of stairs to reach the front entrance from street level. My go-to sandwich is usually a Reuben so Joe's Famous Ruben Sandwich was an obvious choice for me, but I was quite disappointed in their rendition. The sandwich lacked sauce and flavor and was average at best. I could only finish half of it, and it actually tasted better when I reheated the leftovers in the microwave the next day. My daughter did however enjoy their child meal deal which included a sandwich and homemade ice cream. Service wasn't overly friendly either but was efficient. Joe's is a good spot to duck into when it's snowing outside and you need to get out of the cold and grab a quick bite. I'd recommend asking the staff for their recommendation if you visit since the reviews are mixed or consider other local dining options.

Decided to give this place a try. The ice cream was pretty good. The consistency was good but it was a bit sweet. We got the salted caramel and bourbon. They went well together. Service and store cleanliness/vibes isn't great. Wouldn't want to eat in there.

Just a suggestion, but would be great if the cheese was melted on the grilled cheese. Really sad and small. Also, the other sandwich we ordered a-la-carte added bacon, mayo and tomatoes, all things I specifically don't like on my sandwich (which is why I ordered "turkey, lettuce, cheddar, and mustard, nothing else" as shown on our receipt). We also ordered soup which we never got and then when we asked, they said "oh, we don't have any." The check was $70. Disappointed because we used to love this place for years - would love to have a better experience and change this rating but ): my advice is stick to ordering off the menu and not a made-to-order sandwich. Unless it's the soup, which you won't know is out until you order it and don't receive it.

We just wanted a quick bite for dinner without the hassle of table service. Joe's Famous deli is a nice place to stop in for a bite if you are walking though Vail Village and headed up the mountain. They make a number of lunch and breakfast sandwiches. And they also have ice cream. If you need some grab 'n go stuff like chips, candy or drinks, those are available too. It was cold out and my Philly sandwich and cup of chili hit the spot.

The sandwiches are what they are described as and for the price, they are filled with goodness. I enjoyed the Italian sandwich and it was filled with meat and cheese. There was no shortage of yummy ingredients in it. I asked for cherry peppers and that added to the flavor profiles of the toppings (mayo, vinaigrette, cabbage, tomato and onions). I was reading other reviews and someone made note of the cabbage. While not standard nationally, on the east coast I've found that in hoagies in a number of areas. It gives the sandwich a nice crunch and holds up better than lettuce, so i'm all for it. Definitely recommend this venue for lunch. If it has one negative its that the hoagie rolls are not seemingly super fresh.

There are no fast food restaurants in or near Vail Village, so this was a much appreciated place for us when we weren't in the mood to have a sit down meal. Our subs were good (I got a cold turkey and cheese sandwich), service was kind and quick and I enjoyed reading the "stuff" on the wall. For what it is, it's good!

RUINED THE BEST BURRITO OF ALL TIME!!! Added peppers and onions when the burrito clearly states it is only supposed to have egg, cheese, bacon, and potatoes. The burrito says there is rosemary potatoes but it tasted/felt like they put pine tree needles right in the burrito.

Food was terrible got the powder day burrito and it was filled with onions and peppers nor does it say that on the menu, got maybe one piece of bacon in the whole burrito and maybe a quarter of a potato. Ridiculous a $15 burrito looks like a flat quesadilla filled with onions and peppers.

Fried egg sandwich is now more expensive and somehow got worse. Terrible dry English muffin, poorly crafted sandwich overall. Famous Philly was disappointing as well, sooo much fat.
