This is my go-to liquor store. It really has everything I need from liquor to wine to low carb beer! The wine selection is very nice and they are willing to help if you need some guidance. I have always had a positive experience here. Highly recommend.

I used to shop at Jewett's all the time for years! The customer service of this place has seemed to loose it's touch. Something that is so rare to find these days is being lost in yet another store! I purchased a few wine glasses from the store, simple enough it would seem. Yet when I got home I realized that they did not match. At the time I didn't live far away so I went back with them, and asked if I could exchange them to get all matching glasses. The glasses were unused, and the stickers were still on them from the same day! I was more than willing to pay the price difference for the matching wine glasses. However I was told by the cashier that I could not exchange them, I then asked if I could speak with a manager. The manager came out, and I explained my situation. After resistance and a flat out no that i couldn't exchange them I mentioned that I had been a customer there for years and had spent a great deal of money in the store. I was then told by the manager that she would need to speak with the owners about it and would get in touch with me. I agreed and left my contact information. A day or so later I received a phone call from the manager that I had spoken with a couple days prior and was told that I would not be able to exchange the wine glasses I had just purchased, so that I could make a matching set.Seriously!? Something this simple they could not even work with me. Any other store on the planet would have gladly made the exchange. I would have completely understood if it was an open liquor or wine bottle! As a result of this ridiculous scenario, I have stopped shopping at this store. They have lost my business for good and I have made sure to tell everyone that asks me to go somewhere else. I would much rather drive a few extra miles to obtain an item I'm looking for than to deal with their sad presentation for customer service!

Went in today to buy some stuff and my husband picked up a bottle of scotch to buy...it was more than $50 so not cheap. The lid of the box was not on right so the bottle came out and broke...obviously an accident. They immediately said they had a no-tolerance policy and we would have to pay full price. We would have been okay with paying something, but full price for a lid that was not closed that was their issue? I am also sure they will just call the liquor rep to get comped for the breakage so I guess they had a good day today...we paid full price and they will get reimbursed. Needless to say, we would have probably spent well over double the cost of that scotch but because of their policy, we paid for the scotch we did not get and we left. We also will never be back, so they have lost a customer. I hope it was worth it.

Great selection. Smart folks that open an additional register when busy. Fremont County liqueur Taxes are Absurd so the prices are kinda high.

Jewett's is a small town liquor store with an exceptionally good array of wines and beer. Unfortunately, they are notably overpriced. A small convenience store in my neighborhood (Tz Mini Mart and Liquor, 105 Forge Road) has better prices for both wine and liquor, sans the selection. Jewett employees are friendly and helpful. The owner's business acumen, however, could use improvement. On two occasions I have brought back boxes of wine (The Big Green Box - Chardonnay) that had clearly oxidized (skunked) and was met with passive resistance from the owner prior to getting it exchanged. On the last occasion (approximately one month ago) in referring to the returned wine, he stated that "you could have bought this anywhere." I reminded him that I had been shopping in his store for the past ten years and had easily spend thousands of dollars in his store (I was a good customer, to say the least). The next day I purchased a case of Tanqueray vodka from Jewett's which was on sale. The bottles were sealed in the original case. When I arrived home and removed the case from my vehicle, I had taken no more than five steps when the first bottle literally blew through the bottom of the case and exploded on my garage floor. Upon inspection, the box bottom appeared inadequate for its purpose, probably resulting from improper storage. I called the store (owner) and inquired about a replacement for the lost vodka, stating that my purchase certainly included the sealed case along with an expectation that it would hold the vodka until I could get it into the house. He disagreed, stating that he had made little or no profit on the sale. For the price of a few bucks invested in customer satisfaction, he has lost me as a customer.

Awesome place to shop for all your beverage needs. I came through Colorado summer 2017 & my aunt turned me on to Breckenridge Vodka... "made from melted Colorado snow." I bought a few bottles, including one for my wife (we like vodka), but once she flew out & joined me, we ended up giving them out as appreciation gifts to friends & family on our trip. My wife was flying back home while I drove, so I told her I'd stop in Colorado again to get more. My aunt's in Parker CO & the store I got it from was all out, so I searched high & low throughout Parker & never could find it again.Flash forward a year & we're staying in & around Colorado on this year's trip. We bought a couple bottles upon arriving in Denver, but went through both over the course of the next 10 days (we were on vacation after all). She flew home & my son & I drove back again... we LOVE road trips, but her not so much, so I told her I'd get more before heading home. Now leaving S. Dakota (beautiful state!), we drop my wife & head off to Royal Gorge to see the bridge & ride the rides. Now searching Canon City for the oh so coveted Breckenridge vodka & can't find it anywhere! One place was nice enough to steer me toward their competition & said if these guys don't have it, no one in town does, so we head here.Huge selection & super friendly/helpful staff. Found the vodka, picked up FOUR bottles this time, & a 22oz beer for the hotel later. The lady could tell I was a tourist & offered to put my 22oz in their 7 min. chiller so I could get it cold enough to drink an hour or so later (hotel fridges take about a week to get anything cold). I didn't even know they did that, so I was very grateful she offered... very much needed after walking the Royal Gorge bridge twice, riding the gondola & finally the sky coaster (talk about an oh sh!t moment there). The only big stores like this in San Diego are BevMo's & they're usually not very friendly or helpful. So refreshing to have good customer service.

Been going here for a long time , back when on 16th st. They are starting to charge 2% if you use your credit card, but the prices have not adjusted at all. I stopped at the bottle shoppe and their prices were slightly lower except Crown Royal was $10 cheaper for the big bottles ( granted it it was a sale price) but the normal price was $5 cheaper then Jewett's and no added fee for using your credit card. But charging an extra 2% for credit sales when you already have that built into your price is crazy. Will have to start looking for a less costly place, a shame after 20 years.

This liquor store has a policy of requesting identification from everyone who appears to be 50 yrs old or younger. I am 68 yr old with mostly grey hair. The cashier asked me for my ID. I said, "Is this a joke?". He said, "No, it is no joke". A second female cashier joined him, said I looked younger that 50 and it was the law that they ask for an ID. (Actually CO law says that they can ask for an ID from anyone who appears younger than 21). I finally agreed to show my ID and asked to speak to the manager. After paying for my purchase the cashier told me that I need not have made a "scene". The manager told me that the cashier was right in asking for my ID and that I did not have to shop at their store. I agreed that I would never shop there again.
