We have 2 grandchildren with 1 on the way; 3 grand-dogs and a grand-horse. Seriously, our daughter-in-law has a horse who lives (boards) at the Iron Gait Ranch.Rosie has lived at Iron Gait for a few years now and is well adjusted and appears to be well cared for. We met Nick, the owner, years when he was first starting some major improvements to the ranch. He has done a really nice job of updating and upgrading the facilities.Nick and Shawna seem to be doing a good job of running the ranch and caring for 50 plus horses.

I had been to there stable about boarding a few months ago, there place is nice and the horses do get nice hay, but there water could be replaced more regularly.I called back two months later about board and asked for an emergency situation and said I need to board my horse for a month or two maybe longer until the VS virus went away and he said he only took long term clients. I said if I left and decided to come back he was turning away a possible long term client. He said he didn't care and that "NIck" only takes long term clients only.

My home away from home. Though I no longer board here due to going away to college. I can say my 2 years here where the most peaceful. Beautiful facility. Nick, the owner has done an amazing job. I saw this place before he bought it and he has done quit the job. All 3 of my mares that stayed there got the best quality care. By far the best boarding facility in the Denver metro area. Great rates as well! Be sure to check this place out!

Nick and Monique are some of the most caring owners I have met. They work hard to keep all horses safe and to make sure personalities match in a herd like atmosphere. My horse, Daisy, is definitely a bit of a challenge, but after a few months, she has adjusted very well to her new environment! I love that they are always updating and improving the ranch! Right now they have heated water tanks for the winter! You always can tell the horses are their first concerns. The outdoor arena is wonderful and sandy. They are close to Stanley Lake for trail riding. Everyone I meet there is always friendly and helpful. Thumbs up! Keep up the great work!

I felt compelled to write this review, as it seems two people who never were clients of Iron Gait Ranch have taken it upon themselves to speak negatively of a place they clearly know nothing about. I have two horses and have been boarding here since October 2014. This facility is kept wonderfully clean, has such good quality hay that I was able to change out my grain and save money, and has ample riding, trailer and tack space. There is no drama here, in fact the owners are diligent to keep it that way. My mares are emotionally and physically in fantastic shape. There is lots of ride-off opportunities and the owners organize group trail rides weekly. The horses are kept in group settings, and the owners constantly monitor each "herd" to keep a happy balance of personalities. As the facility is rather new, there are ongoing projects being completed - you should expect and respect the hard work the owners are investing to create a top-notch barn! No project has ever been left unfinished. The riding arena is huge. There is a back pasture for "open space" riding. Owners live on-site for 24 hour monitoring of horses. I have and will continue to recommend this facility as the best place in northwest Denver to board happy horses.

I've been at Iron Gait Ranch for just over one year and I have to say that my horse is doing extraordinarily well. I took her on from a friend who rescued her from slaughter and she was given to me soon after I began riding her. I immediately placed her at Iron Gait Ranch on December 3, 2013 and my stand-offish, un-trusting mare underwent a complete turnaround in behavior very quickly. Horses are allowed to be horses in a safe and well-monitored environment, as opposed to being locked away in boxes that compromise not only their sanity, but also their health.Nick and Monique are attentive to the hay quality (which is always excellent), what the horses are up to throughout the day, and match the horses well with compatible pasture mates. My mare (who tended to be a loner where she was previously) even decided to make a few friends. The facilities are well-maintained, safe, and every boarder I've met has been openly friendly and helpful. I also love the location which is easily within riding distance to Stanley Lake.I'm very happy to have found this place and to have been there for a year now. I hope for many more!
