Conversing with my barber one day, I shared I was itching for my first tattoo, what of? she asked, the Millennium Falcon! She asked if I'd been to Ink Inertia and met Phil yet? No, but I soon did! Phil is so well met, busy w clients, but took five mins to hear what style tattooing I was looking for, alleviated my first time jitters and scheduled me six weeks out, first opening he had, another good sign of a good artist! Six weeks later, he was ready for me, had a plan that I loved! He got started, great conversation, took breaks when we both needed it, hammered a fine lined tattoo out in four hours. I was thrilled! The healing process was easy, looking to go back next month for the shading. I highly recommend Phil at Ink Inertia, solid guy and artist!

Phil is one of the best tattoo artists I've ever met. He's done quite a few of my tattoos, honestly, I've lost count. I'd recommend Phil specifically, as he knows what he's doing. If you lest him take creative control, he will pleasantly surprise you with his ideas and abilities to make your ideas reality. The studio is also really cool, with a million and one magazines and art pieces everywhere. Brownie points if you like Star Wars!

As soon as you walk into the shop, it has a great vibe. Low key but warm and welcoming - and CLEAN. Each artist's station is totally personalized and you get a good feel for their different styles.I had a decent idea of what I wanted, but Joel really tied it all together. I literally only showed him a few photos that were very different, and he proceeded to completely freehand my entire tattoo (see photos). It was meaningful to me and he made certain to include each different element. Along the way, he also paused so I could check the progress and he constantly made sure I wasn't too uncomfortable (I wasn't, I was a champ LOL). It turned out better than I imagined, and ai am blown away it was freehanded! There were multiple other people getting work done while I was there, and most of them were repeat clients. It's obvious from the conversations I heard that the artists put a lot into their client relationships and don't view them as just customers. To address the couple of negative reviews - I actually asked Joel about them and he explained the situation to me. If you are on the fence whatsoever about coming in, don't be! These guys are transparent, continue their training and education constantly, and are incredible artists. I'll be back for #2 soon!

Awesome shop, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I came in with 3 other people and was able to do a walk-in with Rain who did an amazing job on all 4 of the tattoos. I am here again to get a cover up! I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. Thank you for the best tattoo experience!

This is the spot to go in the 719 for fantastic custom ink, knowledgeable staff and friendly artists who will give you a one of a kind piece. This was my second appointment with Erik, AKA "cynereo". He did this custom piece on me after I was touched deeply by the song "Elastic Heart" by Sia. I have struggled with self harm and suicidal thoughts for several years after a very traumatic experience giving birth to my son.I told him about the meaning of the song to me and he came up with this beautiful heart made of rubber bands. He is such a great artist, I am already working on several other custom pieces with him, to include a cover up of a massive (and horrible) 'tramp stamp' tribal butterfly that I got on my 18th birthday! Great shop. CLEAN, fair pricing. You won't be disappointed. Long wait for appointments, but that is to be expected for the best shop in Colorado Springs. Also, I would like to defend my artist. There is a one star review on here about him. Don't pay attention to that. Artists NEVER send the sketch for custom pieces to their new clients prior to appointments. It's not a thing. If they did, the client could then take that photo to another shop and have some other "artist" copy their work. (Please disregard that review.)

This is the review I left after I got a tattoo here by one of their artists and one of the owners asked if I would let him try to "fix" it. But he ended up effing it up more by adding a rock under the lions face. WTF? DO NOT COME HERE FOR A TATTOO! They will charge you a lot for a tattoo and mess it up and you will be stuck with it for the rest of your life.

Definitely will NEVER go back here!! The artist Ryn completely destroyed my first tattoo experience! Ryn never responded to any of my messages regarding getting my tattoos touched up... initially we were scheduled to finished my sleeve but she cancelled a couple of days prior and said she could only book me out a month from there. I told her that'll be hard since I'm back to work! I had messaged her for nearly two weeks and no reply. My tattoos look horrible! I brung my baby bearded dragon (whom passed away a few days after) to the shop for one of my sessions supposedly she got in trouble for that! If it was a problem I'm sure a higher up would've said something. Not let me sit there and take my money! She would never post any of my tats that supports my career in law enforcement like she's against it! I reached out to Phil one of the owners and he scheduled me in to fix her horrible mistakes, but after our first session, she sends me a nasty text message so I decided to reach out to the owner and let him know I will not be back.. Five tattoos later including a half of sleeve, I'm paying someone else AGAIN to fix her mistakes! So BEWARE!! BTW, my tattoos are only a few months old and they look 20 years old!!!

I've been getting tattooed at Ink Inertia for years. All of the artists are amazing. They do clean, quality, custom work that you won't find anywhere else. They are attentive and not pretentious and help keep you smiling and comfortable through the whole process from drawing to tattooing to aftercare. I highly recommend Ink Inertia. My personal artist is Joel Hart, but I've also met and seen work by all of the other artists and would recommend any of them.

The artist, Art, I had, had done my tattoo and did well for someone that has tattooed for 2 years, but after charging 100$/hour and finishing after 3, I had paid and informed him that I wanted to pay the tip in cash but had to run home and grab it, once leaving he had informed me that he would rather do it the next day (which I worked) and then once not receiving a NOT obligated tip since changing times and having work, he proceeded to contact my unit and leadership threatening to contact CSPD to which. Very Unprofessional.
