India Bazaar

Small Indian grocery store stocked mainly with spices, canned goods, fresh produce and some frozen foods. My new favorite are Malaysian style parathas in the freezer next to the cash register. They come uncooked, you cook them in a skillet. Then you dip them in your favorite curry sauce. Great appetizer. The fresh vegetables selection is limited but he carries fresh lychee fruit when in season. He carries fresh curry leaves which are hard to find but are great in homemade curry. He also has homemade vegetables samosas on most days. These go quickly. When I am in the area I will stop by.

Went in for some big cans of mango pulp but saw some fresh giant mangoes, 6 in a box, so I proceeded to pick good ones to fill one box for purchase and the owner said "no ma'am you can't do that" . I was thrown off. I was going to buy a box full (6 mangoes) so why couldn't I pick the good ones. I thought that was rude and I walked out there.

Love! How did I not know about this place! I love Indian food, and I grew up around lots of Indian groceries. I was so excited to stumble upon this one. It's not very big, but the staff is super friendly, and they have all the staples you would want at super reasonable prices! I'll be a regular here!

Decent selection of spices and other Indian fares. Good spice selection, some sweets, bread, rice and a few other 'traditional' items. If you like Indian or Pakistani food , and are looking to cook it yourself, this is definitely a place to check out.

Nice little store. You will find almost every necessary masala and other regular Indian subcontinent food item. We went there for gulabjamun. We've got it. The owner was friendly.

The owner was very helpful. My wife and I had quite a list and were having difficulty locating the spices we needed. He came over to assist us, and located the items very quickly. He was quite pleasant while we finished browsing and selecting foods, even commenting "yummy!" when I placed certain items on the counter. When it came time to choose chile peppers, he informed us which were mild and which were hot. Thank goodness we went with mild! They have brown basmati rice here! That made me so happy. They also had the paneer we were looking for, so I'm coming back for sure. The only thing holding back from five stars is cleanliness issues.

i like this little shop. There is a wide selection of patak Currys which I haven't found in the area elsewhere. I usually buy mango puree but it's maybe a dollar more here than the other Indian grocer at Flintridge.

I loved this grocery store and will return again. The selection had everything I needed and the owner was amazingly kind and helpful. He offered me Chai and showed me how to cook various items. The prices were very reasonable and spices were cheaper there than elsewhere. Small, but has great authentic Indian foods and some ready to serve or frozen items as well.

This place is tied for being my favorite Indian Grocery in the Springs, always super helpful and I can find exactly what I'm looking for to cook every time. It's not a big store, and that's perfectly okay with me! I've never left unhappy.
