Came here on a cold night to see the pretty ice castles and have a fun family night. I highly recommend wearing ski pants if you plan on going on the slide or in the tunnels. The tunnels are not tall enough to stand in for adults or kids so keep those knees warm. The tunnels were the funnest part of it all but it got crowded easily. The line for the slide was extremely long, we spent about 20mins in line. They provide these plastic sheets to slide down on so need to bring your own sled. The fountain wasn't working but we could see the pretty lights in it. Overall the experience was underwhelming, even though they have timed entry it was very crowded. The place isn't as big as it looks, but it looked like they had parts closed off. We wish there were more slides and tunnels! But the lights were very pretty and it made for a fun night.

This is a great place to visit once. It's obvious they put a lot of time and effort into making the ice spires and other ice art. Additionally, parking is free. However, at $120 for four people, it's a bit expensive to visit more than once, as it takes less than an hour to completely experience the Castle. Also, we were warned by a local that if you are not at the ticket window within the time on your ticket, you 'forfeit' your ticket and will have to repurchase your ticket if you want to enter. There are no refunds.

It took us a little over two hours to drive to the Ice Castles and I am very glad that parking was free. We bought tickets a couple days before and it was pretty packed but also dwindling down because people were making their way up for the Ice Castles at night.First off, this is definitely something you should experience once if you have the chance. It's a spectacular site to witness. I was amazed how it all was handmade. You can see people continually working on it. It's crazy to witness this castle standing with the sun and all. It was smaller than I expected but I'm glad I went finally. If you do come here, dress warmly. Bring mittens, scares, hats, parkas, snow boots, etc. We saw many people put their snow clothes on and remove them once they're done at the car.

The structures and sculptures are pretty neat. They have timed entry but it was still super packed. The area is a lot small than the promo images/videos indicate. Stocked with overpriced merchandise and drinks. Only food option is a single food truck so it took almost an hour to get a couple hot chocolates. I probably wouldn't bother taking our visitors in the future since we had to drive down from Denver.

We had a great time at the ice castles! The parking was very easy as the ice castles are located right in town. The check in was very easy and quick. It was helpful to have my QR code ready to go! The ice castles were awesome to see, and there is a slide for all ages above a certain height. They also have a bar that you can purchase beverages from. My advice is to dress warm, and wear boots. I'm not sure this event was too handicap accessible so be wary of that if you need a paved sidewalk to get around. Over, great experience for all ages and I'd encourage others to go.

Amazing ice castles ! This was so cool to see all the sculptures and just walking on the "shaved ice" was so satisfying. The ice castles are so much fun for a little family outing. The tickets are priced very well too for how amazing these castles are. The slide is pretty fun too haha. Really nice staff here too. Will definitely come again!

The ice castles are beautiful at night. There are slides, an ice throne, tunnels, sculptures, a flame thrower, and beautiful lit caverns that reminded me of the northern lights. You can expense the entire setup in 30 minutes, but if you're interested in getting good pictures, it might take longer. To maintain the flow of the crowd, your tickets are purchased for entrance within a 30-minute window. There's free parking available and hot chocolate can be bought at the entrance. It's very cold at night, so gloves and winter boots are a must. If you plan on using the slides, wear appropriate pants. The walk from the parking lot was muddy and slippery so be prepared for that as well. If we do this again, we plan on visiting it earlier in their cycle only bc my friend suspected they were a lot more melted than expected. Either, a beautiful escapist IG worthy experience.

I had always wanted to go to one of the Ice Castle events, but never made it until it came to Cripple Creek. It is a truly beautiful looking creation. Just blocks of bluish water creating walls of beautiful ice, then they add tunnels, ice sculptures, a throne - tons of stuff to investigate and experience. For the smaller kids who are willing to get down on all fours and climb through tight tunnels or climb up to the top to take the ice slide down - it it beyond fun. Me, I like exploring, but a lot was lost on me. We went during the day and it was great, but I can see how the evening would set off the ice and lights. It is freezing (you are literally in an ICE CASTLE) and parking is in a gravel lot and can get a little manic at high times (they have attendants, but that only helps so much). Cripple Creek itself seemed ill equipped to deal with the mass amount of tourists that this and Rita the troll (outside Victor) brings - every restaurant was packed with people falling out and hour + wait. So it is what it is. I think it is worth it to see it once!

This winter event was worth every minute of the three hour drive into the Rocky Mountains to see. It's in the wonderful old city of Cripple Creek. The atmosphere and ambiance is a winter dreamland. You feel like a character in the Frozen cartoons. My wife took me there on a romantic date and it was pure magic for us. The ice sculpting and the lights are stunningly beautiful. They even had ice slides that the kids seemed to really enjoy. As did I. We will certainly go back next winter as this was quite pleasant. We will do it during the Xmas season to further amplify the feel of this attraction. The staff were mostly local teenagers and they did a great job. We felt very welcome and safe.

Cool during the day but amazing at night! So much fun! Highly recommend. Wish there were more trails but still had a great time. Wear ski pants and warm jacket. It's cold.
