I Scream Gelato - Breckenridge

Quick service right in the heart of Breckenridge. They have an arcade for kids in the back. The perfect place for a sweet treat! I got the Oreo gelato. It was fantastic and big servings!

Delicious gelato with plenty of flavors. You can taste test 2 flavors. You can also order 2 flavors in one cup. The girl that served us was sweet and friendly. Fun little shop!

Located on the Breckenridge strip amongst various shops and restaurants, is this cute gelato shop. With fun gelato flavors and toppings, there should be something for everyone! I ordered the s'mores gelato in a cone. It was topped with a waffle cracker that was branded with the shops logo - such a cute touch. The staff was friendly and fast as well. Be aware, there is limited seating inside so you might not be able to get a table. Overall good experience, would come again!

A solid gelato spot in Breckenridge! My family stopped into I Scream Gelato after seeing some great reviews on Yelp. Customers are able to sample the gelato before deciding on a flavor but it is limited to two per person (understandable because I'm sure people can get carried away with all the deliciousness!) I tried the mint which was great but went with a small peanut butter in a cone. The gelato was delicious! I was a little disappointed there weren't many flavors with mix-ins (choc chips, etc) but there are a lot of topping options if that is your thing. There is limited seating indoors available for customers, but I saw most people take their cones and eat on-the-go along the main street of Breck. We all enjoyed our dessert- especially my 18 month old who got to try his first few bites of gelato!

If the line is long then the ice cream is NOT worth the wait...but on ANY day it's not worth the price. Ordered a 16oz shake for $11.50 , only to be sucking on ice chips and watered down ice-cream. We also got a single (again overly priced) scoop of pistachio gelato which was also flavor less (any store bought version where you could get a gallon for the price of a scoop, puts it to shame). Only reason why I don't give this place 1 star is because the consistency of the gelato was quite nice. But just because there's a line out the door on a busy summer holiday weekend, doesn't mean you need to jump in it! Don't make our mistake!

Gelato was good, but portions are small for the price and for reasons that are not clear and NOT POSTED BEFORE PURCHASE this business charges two additional fees to your purchase: a resort fee (??) and a service fee (gratuity - even though there is also a cash tip bucket at the register). What?! None of the other businesses or food establishments we visited during our five days here charged either of these extra fees. We paid over $27 for three gelatos. We also visited the arcade over the gelato shop and there were extra fees there as well: a fee to get a card and also tax charged on the game card. When we went to Downstairs at Eric's a few days earlier, they had neither of these additional charges for their arcade. Plus, at least a third of the games seem to be out of order (both VR games, a Wild Tuna fishing game, skeet ball, etc).

3 words: peanut butter gelato!!! It's smooth, creamy, and delicious. A little expensive for a small thing of gelato, but that makes sense for a tourist area and yummy gelato in the US.

What a sweet reward after hiking Quandary! My body felt broken, and I was miserable (unlike the friend I was with) so ice cream was something wonderful to look forward to. I got two scoops, mint and peanut butter. Delicious and refreshing! Would definitely come here again. There's even a two-story arcade, so you can spend more time hanging out. Decent amount of indoor seating, but better to go for a walk around Breck if you can.

My friend and I came into I Scream Gelato on a whim. Upon entering, there was a moderately long line. However, the line barely moved as the store seemed to be understaffed. When we finally got to the gelato display, there was a sign stating each customer could only get two samples, and when I asked for some samples, I was only given a minuscule amount. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the creative flavors and settled on two separate flavors. As for the gelato itself, it was pretty good and quite smooth, but it was nothing to write home about. Overall, I felt the gelato was good, but I also felt the customer service was lacking, and I felt nickel-and-dimed by the store's strict stance on sampling.
