I Heart Mac & Cheese and More

I got the bbq cowboy bowl to go. I'll be honest... I want to love this place. I really, genuinely do. I love the concept of loaded Mac and Cheese meals and I adore the heart shaped bowls. But I just feel like I cannot get behind this chain/location. I've tried them multiple times and I've tried different bowls, but everything kind of tastes the same. I love buffalo chicken mac and it's incredibly... forgettable. The staff are nice enough, and it's not their fault. The location is clean and colorful. The ingredients just aren't cutting it. Maybe it's skimping, maybe it's super cheap ingredients, I just don't know. I just can't, in good faith, recommend my friends or family eat here.

After hearing a lot of positive things about this establishment, I was excited to try it. When I arrived there were a few tables occupied & there was 1 individual ordering, another person in line & then me. My first visit, I was looking over the menu more in depth & deciding on my order. The overall vibe & look was nice with a little creativity.I decided on a Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese for my husband & I ordered the Best of Both Worlds Grilled Cheese substituting pork bbq, in place of the short rib. My order was taken rather quickly & I took a seat by the door to wait. I will say it took longer than I expected it to, but the food was packaged & placed in a paper bag neatly.Once home, I was excited to dig in!!! The first box I opened was the Buffalo Mac & Cheese & it was disappointing at first sight. The Mac & cheese didn't really look creamy or "gooey" at all. The chicken pieces were tossed on top & rather dry. The biggest issue was the total lack of buffalo sauce & blue cheese, which was imperative to the dish. Needless to say, this was a waste of $13. Upon opening my grilled cheese, it looked as I would have expected. The Mac was creamy, bread toasted perfectly & you could smell the bbq pork. The taste was outstanding!! I was very pleased with my entree. The review would have been a 5 if my entree was the only item in my order. Unfortunately, I feel as though quality control was lacking when you order Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese & the 2 things that were missing were the buffalo sauce & blue cheese. Consistency is key & so I'm not sure if I'll return. If I were to spend $30+ again, I would expect both dishes to be completely on point. Not one that's great & the other that was ridiculously plain & lacking.

We had a buy one get one free coupon so decided to try it. Funky place with great air conditioning on a hot day. We ordered the Lobster Mac N Cheese and a standard Mac N Cheese. It was still $30 despite the buy one get one free coupon. Pricey for this type of food. Service was okay, food was okay. Probably won't return.

Barely any rib meat, barely any cheese, barely any lobster meat on a very expensive supposed lobster mac and cheese. Took a long time to get the lobster mac and cheese. We also waited for a long time for separate order of flat bread when we asked about it they had a attitude and said they would bring it and within 30 seconds they called us and made us get up and get it. All the mac and cheese we got was luke warm. This was the first time we visited and first impressions are everything. The door beeps constantly and will annoy you.

Great Mac and cheese options. Had a pulled pork one and it was SO tasty. Definitely going back when looking for some great nostalgic food.

good service, got it to go, pretty quick, easy to order, tasty too. I definitely recommend the bacon, along with scallions, both are a total chefs kiss, and add the much needed flavors to a humble and simple dish

My wife and I were talking about trying something new in the area and our daughter had told us about this place and she thought it was just OK. We probably should have asked her a few more questions before walking in the door. The atmosphere is pretty fast food chipotle style. Nothing that really says, c'mon in, we have great ambiance and great food too. Since it was our first time in, we figured we'd stick it through. BAD IDEA!There were three young employees behind the counter and they all seemed to be relatively busy. There were only 3 tables with guests sitting in them, all eating their food, so maybe there were togo orders to be tended to. As my wife and I were looking at the menu monitors, a voice came from one of the three saying they will be right with us. Don't know which one said it, they didn't stop what they were doing to turn around and greet us proper. For a new place, you would think there would be more pride from the employees. We saw that there was an "order" side of the counter and pick up side. So we walked over to the order side. We were looking at the monitor menus above the workstations and were seeing different options. There was also a printed menu at the counter to look at. After about 10 minutes of standing there, one of the three came up and asked us what we wanted. A little surprised with that greeting. I've worked over 10 years in the hospitality industry and and have a pretty good understanding of how to greet guests in a restaurant. This greeting was truly third rate and was not expected. In a previous review there was mention of kids running this place, I have to agree. Clearly this place needs adult supervision. I shared with the employee that this was our first time in and we have read the monitors and the printed menu and would like their help with understanding how the menu items worked. What options come inside the grilled cheese sandwiches and since gluten free was an option, what other items could we consider for additions if we wanted to create our own bowl and sandwich. The response was, "we have gluten free."I took a moment and thought, yes, and what else could come in a gluten free grilled cheese sandwich. So I clarified, we would like the gluten free bread for a grilled cheese, what options do we have to put in the sandwich? The response was, "lots of things." So I responded with, like what? The response was, "we don't have them memorized." Then the employee said let me go get the list from the back, and left the counter. My wife and I stood there nearly 5 minutes before I looked at her and asked...."do you want to stay and risk it, or do you wanna leave and go somewhere else?" Without hesitation we left. Now, we have no intention of returning to give this place a second chance. We are firm believers in the old saying, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.As feedback to whatever owner/manager/person in charge, you might want to go over some training modules with your staff when greeting and responding to guests that are visiting for the first time since your restaurant is so new and may be getting more first time visitors. Just saying.

Perhaps the worst examples of mac and cheese that I've ever seen.Wife ordered gluten-free noodles w/basic mac and cheese. I got the philly bowl - supposed to be sort of a combo of mac and cheese & a philly cheesesteak. Wife's pasta was almost crunchy it was so underdone and some how all of the cheese coagulated into a glob in the center of the noodles.Mine was perhaps the most bland & pointless tasting thing I've ever eaten. Missing any sort of flavor beyond a vague cheese-like flavor & about 5-6 pieces of meat. A couple of onions & a single mushroom tried their best to liven things up....to no avail.And to top it all off, was like $30 for two woefully inadequate bowls of blah. Boxed mac and cheese would have been better - and saved me like $29.

Expensive for Mid tier food. I had a BOGO coupon and have been here before. I assumed all the bowls would be around the same price so i called the location and put my order through the phone. Got the Lobster Mac which totaled $26 after tax by itself. so basically erases the whole purpose of a coupon. i can't lie the food has impressed me in the past but this price is just unfair to what the customers get. If i'm paying an extra $12 for lobster mac i want the bowl to be loaded with lobster and it was not.
