Last year we thought we had found our downtown Colorado Springs *it spot! This year our stay here wasn't close to last years experience. We arrived late (after 11:00 PM). We immediately noticed that the bed had an uncomfortable sag on the right side. We were exhausted and decided to try sleeping on it. Sleep quality was abysmal. At 8:00 the following morning I called the front desk and spoke to Danielle. We disclosed that the mattress needed replacement and requested resolution. We followed up with the front desk at 1:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM. It was suggested that we flip the mattress. We tried but that type of mattress could not be flipped. We did spin it to see if that would make a difference, it did not. Later that evening, I dropped my eyedrops and they rolled under the couch. When I retrieved them, I noticed toenail or fingernail clippings and bits of dried up food = gross. We had also stepped on small bits (gravel?) in front of the closet. We really enjoyed our first experience here, and are disappointed with this visit. We filled out the Hyatt survey last week. Hopefully they've changed out the worn out mattress

We were in town for a work trip and really enjoyed our stay at this Hyatt. The room was nice, with the one issue being the AC being inconsistent. It was either hot or cold in the room at night, but never just right. The breakfast was just okay. I took an apple but couldn't eat anything else that was offered. The fitness facility was good but with a few tweaks could be great. First, there were no cleaning wipes for the equipment and with visible sweat/etc stains on the Pelaton, we were very grossed out. But, it was good to actually have a working Pelaton that we could adjust and use to ride. The parking attendants were not very friendly, which was a stark contrast with our experience with any other service spot in all of Colorado. The view from our room was great! Overall, we would recommend this hotel and would stay here again,

Two families ended up here after a terrible accident befell our families and we all came running to see them from California. We were all exhausted and the staff here took care of us so well! Thank you Monty /Jack in Valet, Austin at the front desk, and the entire morning staff who fed us. We are here to support loved ones and you supported us so that we can do that!Hotel room was clean and super comfy. The dads enjoyed a night cap in the hotel Lobby before getting to bed. Highly recommend!!

You can tell this is a newer hotel. I was last in this city and stayed at the Hyatt Place Garden of the Gods and for sure this hotel USA refreshing site. Valet parking downstairs is nice to just drop off your keys to attendant. The price though not so much at $29 a night. There are couple big parking garages down the street. The breakfast is your typical HP offering but did like their cheese omelette and bacon. Lots of seating and they do refill the food quite often. The room reminded me of the newer HP hotels like the Kent Island one in Maryland. Zero complaints. Big desk and good wifi, important feature when doing work! Got a great view of downtown with the mountain backdrop. If you arrive late like past 10pm and hungry, it's slim pickings around here. We found one bar thankfully down the street called Gasoline Alley. Opened till midnight. Typical sports bar food offering - burgers fries and lots of beers on tap. It hit the spot.

Had the opportunity to stay here for a week as I was taking a safety course. My first impression was slightly skewed as the parking attendant was rude when I pulled in to ask questions about the valet fee (which is $29 per night)I ended up using this parking facility and was met with great service from this tall young kid. He had excellent customer service and personality. I'm mad I forgot his name but he worked 3-11pm the week I stayed there. The male front desk guy was friendly and greeted me very well. Checked into my room which was very spacious and comfy. The king bed was amazing. And housekeeping kept my room clean and well attended. My only gripe since my training was set for 8am and I had to leave by 745 am. I was met with a few days the breakfast time was inconsistent and one day was just late coming out that I skipped the complimentary breakfast a few days. The hotel is nicely located - walking distance - by some nice restaurants and fast food places. And also, I had a chance to drive to the Garden of the Gods which was 20 minutes away.

Do not stay here if you are expecting grade A service from Hyatt. They do not have the customer service etiquette that you may be used to. They didn't have water upon check in, they didn't have paper for the printer, and the bathrooms were dirty. The only reason for another star is because of their parking attendants who were awesome.

This is an amazing hotel located centrally in downtown Colorado Springs. The hotel is extremely clean, the entire hotel is decorated extremely well, and the rooms are very comfortable. The only drawback with my stay was, it's a bit difficult trying finding the hotel lobby. You have to be buzzed into the hotel or find the indoor entrance to the lobby, which is up an elevator that I found by asking the parking attended, other than that the hotel is fantastic with an amazing staff. If you visit the Colorado Springs area this is a great location and place to stay.

This hotel was great. Front desk was nice, room was great, free breakfast was actually not bad. Valet right on site wasn't too expensive. I was very happy with this hotel. Only downside is the bar and front desk are attached. It's weird; the person checking you in is also turning around to take drink orders. But highly recommend this hotel.

Worst Hyatt experience I've had, and I've stayed hundreds of nights at Hyatt properties. I literally would have been better off sleeping in my car.I was travelling to pick up my child from camp. Since I was arriving late and since they had been staying in the mountains all week having a late checkout was essential and why I selected this hotel versus one closer to my driving route. My plan was to sleep a few hours, pick them up, and return to the hotel so they could take a hot shower and rest a bit before we flew home.Pros/Cons of the property and my stay:+ This is a fairly new property. The rooms and layout don't 'pop' as much as the very best Hyatt Places, but it's a much more modern hotel than a converted AmeriSuites Hyatt Place.+ The breakfast was a bit elevated over the brand standard and stayed open for 10 minutes past the listed closing time, which is always appreciated.- I knew I would be arriving very late. I selected the "late check in" toggle at booking, added a note to the reservation about my late arrival, and called the property right before my plane boarded and was assured my room would not be given away. Despite this, the hotel gave my room away. Thankfully the late-night front desk host was able to let me in to a room and figured out how to generate me a key a few minutes later, but this still cut into my already short sleep time.- At my (meager) level of status I receive a 2pm checkout. At check-in I was assured I had my late checkout (and even that it was extended to 4pm). At 12:40pm I was taking a shower after retrieving my child from camp when I suddenly heard a voice from inside my room talking to my child. The front desk had directed the housekeeper to check my room, and the housekeeper had opened the door (disregarding the do-not-disturb sign) and was lecturing my elementary-school-aged child on the standard checkout time. It's clear that the culture at this hotel is to aggressively turn rooms (likely to cut down on housekeeping costs), but while I'm no hospitality professional I do know that you cannot simultaneously a) not properly record late-checkout times; b) ignore do-not-disturb signs; and c) enter rooms where the guest hasn't manually checked out. And unequivocally what cannot ever happen is for a hotel staffer to enter a room, see a child in the room, and not immediately exit. - During my conversations with both host K__ and housekeeper B__ both staffers refused to ever give a simple, direct apology, and instead engaged in a series of whataboutisms to deflect blame away from themselves. I understand in an era of overly-entitled Karen/Ken guests the hotel can't simply say the customer is always right, but I was not asking for a refund or any sort of compensation, simply an apology and for the hotel to be more careful in the future, and instead I was given, no exaggeration, five different excuses from the staff.Smaller issues:- This hotel is valet only, and it's an expensive valet at nearly $30. Colorado Springs is not an especially large city. While this isn't the only Hyatt Place with no on-site self-parking, the vast majority of properties don't require valet. Personally, I think if the hotel wants to be valet-only it should rebrand as a Hyatt Centric was the associated higher standard of other amenities.- I'm not a fan of the front door system where guests enter into a locked vestibule and have to page the front desk one story up to be let in. I know many hotels lock the front doors at night, but the standard layout has the doors within sight of the front desk in case there's a problem. With this layout it would be easy for a bad actor to follow someone into the vestibule and trap them there.- As others have mentioned in their reviews, the hotel did not offer the promised elite member waters at check-in.
