House of Yakitori

Another fantastic local restaurant. I love finding the hidden gems. This time out of my comfort zone. I had the lunch Yakitori. It came 3 skewers of chicken, rice, salad, onion rings and soup. All fantastic! What a treat. You order at the counter get your drink and have a seat. They bring everything out within minutes. Talk about fast food. The restaurant is not much to look at from the outside but is ornate inside. My only complaint is the restaurant was pretty hot inside. When back in Colorado Springs I will stop in and dine once again. Enjoy if you stop by this place.

I LOVE the food here and have eaten it for as long as I can remember. BUT I ordered food about 2 or 3 months ago and have not been back. As I waited for my food I had a cockroach skitter by my shoe and run under the soda cooler that is there. The thing about that is..if there is one there are many!! It is not very clean and very cluttered in the restaurant. It would be hard to keep things cleaned with stuff everywhere. I have not gone back. And I won't go back unless they get the establishment cleaned up and free of all the clutter these bugs are hiding under...

I usually will eat here when I'm heading out of town, I love their coleslaw it's one of my favorites for a restaurant. I usually get the chicken yakitori lunch with the soup. It's never to busy inside and they are prompt with bringing the food out.

I tried to order lunch here today but the counter guy was rude, arrogant and insulting. THe menus for ordering had prices substantially lower than the prices at the counter. When I pointed this out, he started shouting at me, continuing to shout and insult as I turned and walked out. I'll not come back to this store. He gives the other Yakitori locations in town a bad name!

Horrible. Person behind the counter cussed and screamed at us. Could not even order. Terrible temper and no people/customer service skills at all. This place does not deserve your money.

This is my favorite Yakitori restaurant in town because the chicken sticks are always fresh, the onion rings are always crispy, white rice, and coleslaw is good and you can substitute the coleslaw for another portion of white rice. People that work there are very friendly also.

I hadn't eaten there in a long time. I ordered Panko Chicken and Onion Rings for pickup, today, for lunch. THAT was not Panko Chicken. That was some regular breaded Chicken cutlet Definitely not Panko breading. The sauce they used to serve with it was much better than the runny teriyaki sauce I was given. The onion rings, were definitely not the same. These were very greasy. The sauce with the was not the same either. I don't know if they've had a change of ownership, but I won't go back there again. I was so disappointed .

Great idea and portions are great. Yakitorri chicken looked good but taste burnt. its like they didnt clean the grill and cooked it on a grill with all the burnt stuff on it. The establishment looks old and run down looking. Bathroom is clean but the bathroom looked better than the restaurant itself.

Very good service from the moment my wife and I arrived! The food was exceptional and the overall dishes were great!
