When did I start doing coffee shop hunt? I don't quite remember but what I know is that this is the ongoing journey of mine for however many years. No matter where I go, this is always on my mind. And when I had the pleasure of visiting House of Vibes Coffee & Curio earlier today, I was convinced that this shop in the mountain town of Silverthorne might make the top 5 of the best coffee shops I've ever visited in my entire life so as you may have guessed the reason (or what is too obvious???), I must write about it.I was simply looking for a place to quickly grab a bite to eat before I'd head back to Denver after a two-day ski getaway I did in Keystone this past weekend.Located on the busy intersection of Blue River Parkway and Wildernest Road, its outdoor sign (although high above) might not grab your attention if you are simply driving by so you'll have to do an Internet search with the keyword either "coffee shop" or "breakfast sandwich" when in town (this is key, really!! Well, that is how I found it.)Like I said, its exterior is kind of inconspicuous but once you have stepped inside it, you'll feel like you are in a different world. This is no exaggeration.A little past 7:35am on a chilly and yet sunny morning in Silverthorne, I might have been the first customer for the day. The lady in charge (not sure if she is the owner) greeted me right after I had stepped in (as she was nearby the door.)I saw more than a handful of photos of the shop uploaded by the previous diners on Yelp so I kind of got the feel of what this shop was all about but what I knew (once inside) was this: this is more than a typical coffee shop, it's also a gift shop and a place for those who are into tarot cards/reading (tarot themed items are everywhere in the shop.)I will be frank; I'm not into tarot cards in any way but it's not just that. This place is for book lovers, fans of Georgia O'Keefe (possibly as southwestern feel is what I saw and observed), 1969 hippies, I mean you name it. All the decors that are on every single wall and corner, you'll see some of the elements of what I have described in this review. I simply couldn't stop taking photos of the shop.Let's get into the foods and beverages they offer here.According to the lady, they have great biscuits. For a great breakfast sandwich you want to create on your own, the "vessel" you choose (step 1) should definitely be the buttermilk biscuit (as she recommended.)Step 2 is protein. I went with the vegan chorizo (I'm not vegan and yet, I do appreciate vegan diet; I was simply interested in this option so hence the choice. And I'm glad that I chose this; it was quite good!!)Step 3 is cheese. Since I chose the vegan chorizo (which is a bit spicy) she said to go with the peppa jack (some of the words are intentionally misspelled on the menu such as "protien"; loved it very much!) She said peppa jack would compliment the mildly spicy vegan chorizo.Step 4 is Egg or no egg. The eggs are premade so they can't do modifications such as egg white (only) just so you know. And there are the extras: avocado is +$.50 but peanut butter, honey, hot sauce and jelly are all free add-ons.For a drink, I got me the usual: doppio (over ice with a side cream.) The total for the two items came to $13 with some change. Not bad (I was pretty needy this AM. After she put ice into my doppio, I wanted more ice so I asked for it. Then I asked for a different cup for the side cream as she handed me a carton of half & half. She was very patient with me!!)The lady thanked me for my business to which I said "OF COURSE" (at this point, I was pretty pleased; I simply had nothing negative to say about my experience.) I should go ahead and mention this: you might find unique gifts at this store as I saw cute necklaces/pendants etc. You should definitely browse while you wait for your drink/food.Once in my car (as I was driving away from the shop being on I-70 east bound), I started to devour my beautiful sammich. The buttermilk biscuit was so soft. It wasn't too buttery; it was impeccably made. And between the biscuit buns, the vegan chorizo, egg and avocado were nicely layered. As I was starting my day, this delightful sammich was a nice compliment to my mood; it truly got me going. The iced doppio was also delicious. As I generously poured the half & half into my stout doppio, I realized that my morning could not be any better than this. I had the best Monday today.

A friend recommended this coffee shop, and I have to say the the décor is truly unique. You could spend all day exploring the curios! My cappuccino was good, but the barista wasn't very welcoming, more focused on chatting with a regular at the counter while making other drinks. It took quite a long time to get my coffee. Still, a fun place to visit, if only to soak in the vibe!

Cute Colorado coffee shop! We visited House of Vibes on the drive to Denver from Steamboat. It's a very trendy little shop complete with tarot cards, healing crystals, and of course, coffee. We were hurrying back to the airport so had to grab our coffees to go, but the barista was very nice. I ordered a vanilla latte. My only gripe was that it was very sweet, and I like sweet! I would recommend ordering 1/2 sweet if you can. Overall great local little shop with all the right *vibes*

What a neat coffee shop to look around in. Friendly service. The lavender honey latte was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was meh. They were out of croissants :( I'll be back for another latte!

This certainly was full of vibes and curios! Absolutely loved the decor here - so funky and quirky. They even had a tarot card vending machine.Good variety of seating, but not a particularly large spot so I probably wouldn't come here specifically to get work done. My one big recommendation would be to include more beverages without caffeine - we came by late in the day and the only beverage available was a coconut lemonade. Don't get me wrong it was amazing, but wouldn't have hated more choices.

HOUSE OF VIBES!A gem of magic and mystery. I have this place down now forever as the absolute most insane and amazingly unique coffee place I've visited to date. The workers, the drinks the ambiance and god damn did I say drinks? If you asked "hey where could I go for an experience?" I have house of vibes on that list.

Probably the best coffee I had in the Silverthorne area (and we tried a lot). Very cool vibe, really nice people who worked there. Everyone we talked to was super friendly and gave great recommendations for the local area. Didn't try the food but lattes (iced and hot) were excellent. They have a tarot card vending machine that was pretty cool. Good service, cool ambiance. We almost missed the sign and drove past it, so keep your eyes peeled for their sign!

Wow! Loved this cute little spot so much. Boyfriend and I both got breakfast sandwiches which we both thought were top notch. I also had an oat matcha with honey and thought it was one of the best I've had!!! Staff was kind and friendly. Next time we're up in the mountains we will definitely be back!

Out of all the coffee shops I've tried in the Dillon/silverthorne area, this one is hands down my favorite. The pastries are somewhat lacking but it has tasty coffee and such a cute eclectic aesthetic. Will definitely be back
