Hotpot Story was a fun, interactive hot pot experience that's definitely worth checking out! Not only does the conveyor belt setup let you choose from various classic hot pot selections, but each person also gets their own hot pot so you can tailor the broth and toppings exactly to your liking. There is also a sauce bar on the side which allows you to customize your own dipping sauce. The owners were also incredibly attentive, regularly stopping by to collect empty plates and refill our broths and waters, which added a personal, welcoming feel to the meal!Quick tip: the plates come in different colors to indicate the different prices, but be aware that the cost can quickly stack up depending on your choices.

Visited here as a party of 4 at 1pm on a Friday. We were asked if we had a reservation, and since we didn't, we were seated after 5 minutes in highchairs by the conveyer belt. If you want a booth, you may want to make a resi.Super cool concept! Really fun and interactive. I opted in for the mushroom broth, while the others ordered the original pho broth. The pho broth was better IMO. Most of us kept it basic with a red meat, 2-3 veggies (broccoli, mushroom, etc) and noodles (egg, pho, etc.), while my husband added in less familiar items to us like quail eggs & crab nuggets. I'd highly recommend waiting for everything to come by you once (warning, there's a lot!), so you can see all options before snatching up the first plate that catches your eye. Definitely experiment in building your own sauces at the sauce station - but don't be afraid to ask a server for recs! It's a little pricy - the plates add up quick - but we'd come back on a rainy or cold day!

My partner and I took my mom out for an early birthday celebration (it's tomorrow). We have been here multiple times and have enjoyed it but this time was much different. We were rushed to check out (spent over $150) and then an employee came to the table and started throwing away everything on the table... that we were still eating and drinking. We talked to the "manger" and he was extremely rude stating that "he was waiting on our table for over 30 minutes". Which was weird be because we were forced to check out 10 minutes prior per our bill.We were literally there for under an hour and sat next to an open table the whole time. Then a grumpy ugly Karen who needed to express her opinion because she's been waiting "for over 45 minutes" felt the need to express her frustrations and talk down to us... like it was our fault that we just checked out? And had all the food and drinks we paid for thrown away.Extremely disappointed as we own two restaurants and would never, ever treat any guests that way. Also, shout out to that nasty entitled Karen. You should skip out on the hot pot and put that money you spent towards mental help and self care. Bc giiirl you need help not only physically but mentally.I do want to point out though that our server and all the gentleman that (forcibly) checked out were super kind and friendly.Their "manger" road them like a slave driver and would yell at them while walking around aggressively clicking his pen. He needs to go or this place will fail... #justaboutprofitnotabouttheguestsexperience#treatyourstaffbetter#karengetalife

After the initial novelty wears off, the experience is mixed at best. The food is of average quality. Maybe the beef was great but it was hard like an ice block even though it was the first item we grabbed, we had to wait until the very end to realize there's no breaking it without a knife. Finally the beef was cooked but we were full and so it may not have tasted as great. In order to keep the little dishes of ingredients fresh, there are a lot of plastic used for covering, the more I "ordered", the more guilty I felt. That's what I meant by mixed experience. The good part is, it is cook yourself hotpot. Who doesn't like that?!

Love the concept and idea of this place! The meats and veggies come out on a conveyer belt and you pick your own broth to cook everything in! They charge by the number and color of plates which was easy to keep track of. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Some of the meats included wagyu beef, pork, lamb, and so much more. We came back the next night since we couldn't get enough. If you want a more hands on dining experience this is the place to come! P.S we shared some of the plates since there was a lot.

We attended their soft opening today and we were seated right away when we came around 4pm. The space is very trendy and clean. We were seated at a booth and it was very spacious. However, they could not accommodate a high chair at the end of the booth due to space constraints. This made it difficult to dine with our toddler since we had to hold him the whole time. Their fountain drink machine was also broken, so we were limited to only a few drink options: canned Coke, canned Diet Coke, iced tea, and water. We ordered 3 different broths: mushroom, hot & spicy, and tomyum. The mushroom broth was a little bland, but was a good base for a lot of vegetables. I ordered the tomyum broth, which went well with noodles, mushroom, and tofu. I also ate pork belly with this, but I think it would've been better with seafood; especially shrimp. My husband ordered the hot & spicy broth, which he said went well with mushroom, spinach, and wagyu beef. There are so many ingredients available to add to your broth. We really enjoyed the vegetable selection. However, if we wanted more, we had to wait so long for the conveyor belt to loop around to find what we were looking for. I think this adds to the long wait time to get a table. The overall dining experience was slowed down by the conveyor belt. Service was also a bit slow, as it took about 15-20 minutes before someone came and took our drink and broth orders. It also took about 40 minutes to get the 1 bowl of rice we ordered.Overall, our dining experience was very slowed down, and there were a few hiccups in our service today. But the ingredients were fresh, and we enjoyed having something available like this in our area. The food was good, and we would love to come back to try other things.

My friends and I were so excited to come here, especially for my birthday. It took me almost 2-3 days of trying to call them for a reservation. Obviously they were very busy, but I finally got a reservation for 6 people. When we arrived there, the waitress sitting us was very nice and friendly. The conveyor belt was definitely the highlight of the restaurant, of course. While we got our broths and trying to have a good time, towards the end we noticed we kept being approached by multiple waiters asking us if we everything was okay, if we needed anything.. Almost 3-4 people asking in the span of 20 minutes. I looked around and noticed they weren't really doing that to any of the groups. It seemed like they were annoyed with us for some reason. One of my friends brought her toddler who was starting to feel cranky, but if that was the reason, that shouldn't be the reason to rush us out to hurry up. Two of my friends were still drinking their beer and food, and one of the waiters noticed we still had our plastic bags out from the plates we got from the conveyor belt. With a condescending tone, he mentioned that we had a trash can beneath us. We weren't told that at all when we first got there. As my friends were trying to finish their food, the waiter was waiting for us and just said, yeah, we are going to clean up your table. We all looked at each other and just packed up everything because we felt we weren't welcomed anymore. I really wanted to love this place and had a great experience my first time in California at another Hot Pot restaurant very similar. I understand that there were other big parties, but good customer service goes a long way and explaining to us in a nice manner instead of a passive aggressive way isn't very professional. I won't be coming back, but I still had a good experience with the hot pot overall. Customer service, not the best. But hope any other parties get treated better than we did!

Excellent food, service. and atmosphere. Conveyer belt style restaurant like in Japan, but more of a Korean flair. This may be our favorite hot pot place so far.

Most of the protein was frozen which is fine but I got the flat iron beef and it tasted old to me. I ordered the mushroom broth and it was too salty. The dumplings were good and the vegetables were decent. The service was fast and efficient but the seating was crowded. The sauce bar was not well kept and was dirty and the floor where we sat was dirty. It was too expensive for the quality of food in my opinion.

Horrible experience! Went here with my sister and the kids. We were rushed to checkout and was treated as if we weren't going to pay. The Asian girl kept making the guy come over saying he missed a plate. Then as we were still eating she was reaching over us to collect plates. There was a table that was here longer than us that they didn't bother. We were the only black ones in the restaurant so it felt like it had something to do with our race
