I was in downtown Colorado Springs recently then took a left turn instead of a right and look what I found?! This bookstore has a lot of wonderful books. There is a section on medieval history and the crusades. There was an older gentleman who was working the bookstore when I visited. He was friendly and very much accommodating. I inquired about a set of antique bookends that the bookstore sells. I had some questions about them that he was more than happy to answer. He took the extra time to research my questions on the internet so that I walked away with information that could better inform me on my decision to purchase the bookends. He explored various websites to ensure that my questions were answered. This impressed me. It also influenced my decision to purchase the bookends. These bookends are of a scene where St George is slaying the dragon while he was mounted on his horse. This is a popular scene throughout history. There is a popular statue in Zagreb, Croatia that depicts this.I learned that these bookends were made in Pennsylvania by Hubley, 1922 design. I cleaned them up after I brought them home. They look very rich on my desk. I'm very pleased with my purchase! A special thank you to the gentleman who assisted me. There are aisles and aisles of books in this place. Plan on spending plenty of time here if you're a book aficionado and interested in supporting a local business. Also, the bookends I purchased were very reasonably priced. I wasn't overcharged at all. The section that drew my attention the most here was the medieval and crusades one. It's a small section but I've never seen this type of section in a book store. Also, there are other antique bookends on display for purchase. I loved the monk bookends near the desk where the gentleman who helped me sat at. These bookends are made of wood and depict a monk sitting down, reading a book. I would love to return here during my next visit to The Springs. I recommend exploring here if you love old bookstores with a variety of interesting books.

A nice bookstore right downtown. I enjoy perusing the aisles here, definitely something for everyone! The employees are always friendly and ready to help but also let you look at your leisure. Store could use a little updating and the prices are a little high in my opinion but a great shop nonetheless.

Small local bookstore located in downtown. There is coin parking in front and a garage behind that cost about $1 to park.I'm a barnsandnoble fan, so it's unfair to compare this place but I find the prices expensive. The books are mixed between used and new. There are definitely some collector editions and oldies that is not available in newer bookstores so if you're a fan of that this is the place to check.I remember my first time visiting, I was so excited, but became disappointed at the small size of it. Does have a table in the back where you can play chess or simple sit and do some reading. Book signings happen here too.

I found just about everything I wanted. The only thing I did not find was a book on anthropology. I was able to pick up young adult literature for junior high students and literature for high school students. I was helped immediately and thoroughly. The employee even gave me advice on other places to visit while I was in the area.

I absolutely love this little bookstore! The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is always something fun to find and they have an extensive selection of hard to find books. I love just looking around at all the unique finds. They also have great window displays and are a great downtown find!!

We spend way too much time here! We are a book loving family so we buy most of our gifts, our own books and books we need here and their other location. We are so thankful for their employees who are so knowledgeable and helpful always. I don't believe we have ever left here without something! We were able to buy many Christmas here this year! What a wonderful place to find awesome new and used books!

In town for an event and not knowing the area got a bit lost.Google took us in circles and on the second loop I noticed this shop.I can honestly say that I'm glad we went in a circle! This bookstore was not particularly large but had a decent selection. I was obsessed with purchasing a new book by my favorite author and while it wasn't out that day I did find two autographed copies of two older books of hers! SCORE! Yes, I bought them and they were both reasonably priced. The man at the counter was helpful. I think next time we're in town, we'll be stopping by.

This is an excellent bookstore. The interior is spacious, so wandering down the aisles isn't the cramped, disorganized affair that can sometimes happen in used bookstores. The selection is great, and it includes a large number of Easton Press books, which are beautiful and sturdy. The children's section is excellent, as well. The owner is also friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a book, or if you're just in the area, I'd recommend stopping by.

I feel bad because I love used book stores, and this one had a lot of options. I found about 5-6 books I really wanted and when I added the prices up it was going to be around $100. The prices seemed a little high so I checked Amazon and I found all but 1 for half the price. I know it's Amazon so it's going to be cheaper but this is the first time I've gone to a used book store where I didn't find a single used book I wanted for less than $10. Seems like they should do a little more research before pricing or people are going to go somewhere else.
