Hooked On Books

We've known Mary and Shelley at Hooked on Books for years! We also went to the open house on 4/1/2023 for the official passing of the torch to Joe and Mikayla. Best wishes for many more years of wonderful books!

We could spend hours in here! They have such a wonderful selection new and used books. We purchase most of our books here! The employees are so helpful and educated on what they have to offer. We love that we can resell books that we no longer need as well! Love supporting our local favorites! And sharing our love for books!

Update: It only gets better at this place! After returning for a second visit to switch up some books we bought in error (we already had them), the staff was super easy to work with. We are fans and will be back!Great selection and friendly staff. There are so many books that it can be challenging to find specific books you may be looking for. But no worries! The staff has a mental inventory of where everything is and can get you straight to what you may be looking for. Highly recommend!

Hands down, Colorado Springs best bookstore. Extensive stock, and what they don't have, they can get. Nice location, plenty of parking. And best of all, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. I have been going to this fine establishment since I got here in 1997, and they have never disappointed. They are patient and tenacious when researching a book for me, they are very kind and sweet to my 8-year old son. And now they even have coffee! What more could you ask for.If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and browse. You'll be grateful you did.

Was in the area and we enjoyed the diverse collection of hooked on books! They have two locations and we actually went to both! We had so much fun at the first one and really found some collectors treasures so then we ended up going to the downtown location. This shop is a must for book collectors, book lovers and treasure hunters. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Really love the painted windows and other details that the shop has. Next time we come to Colorado Springs we will be coming here again.

This is my Happy Place. The sci-fi section is top-notch, and the general fiction selection is just absurd. I've always had really good luck finding whatever I was looking for here, and even for cash-only books, the prices are pretty reasonable. . There's a reason why I've been a regular here for 30 years. Hooked on books, indeed.Oh, it's a labyrinth too. Good luck.

Hooked on Books has been one of my favorite bookstores in the city since I was a teenager! The first thing you'll notice when you walk in is that these people truly love books! The place is a veritable MAZE of books! They are stacked up to the ceiling in some places, which gives the whole store a very cozy atmosphere! You feel like you could just sit down and fall right into a good story!As for the staff, they are very knowledgeable and as courteous as can be! They are more than willing answer any questions, or just to engage in fun conversation. For me, service is always key to a place I visit, so knowing that I can expect kindness and friendliness here is a great comfort.Also, the books are reasonably priced, with a great selection of new and used titles available.

I love this store. I find a treasure almost every time I come here. The employees are nice and very helpful.
