We used Home Run Electronics at the suggestion of our home builder for a Control4 system. The work they did was fine, most of our stuff works, however unless you want to go in after them and spend half a day removing all the boxes and trash they'll leave in your house, I suggest using a different company. They left an 84" tv box in the middle of our living room floor, a 5' tall box that held a control tower FULL of trash in the basement, along with literally every other box for every piece of equipment in a heaping pile in our basement. I've never used a company that doesn't remove the boxes or trash from Instal. They messed up our kitchen dimmers, but did come back to fix them in a timely manner. But One of our C4 iPads still does not work and we have called them about our motorized blinds as well... crickets. We'll be looking to a different company for the future.

I have made over 15 calls to get them to perform an in home audit and follow up with a quote. I finally got someone to come out to review my in home Control4 system and was told they will call back in a week. One week, Two weeks, three weeks; meanwhile I have called them and only get vmail boxes - never a person on the phone live. I'm moving on. Good Bye.

I work for one of the largest Cosmetic Surgery companies in the U.S. and I am not happy with having to write this review. We were setting up a sales office in Colorado Springs in a newly built building and we were given HomeRun's contact info as a trusted vendor for low voltage and electrical work for our suite. Our first SOW was a network closet setup and a couple additional drops within the suite to account for TV, Wireless, and Security Camera. This work had a completion date of 2/21 guaranteed by them, but with little to no communication w/o me reaching out the work wasn't completed until 3/16, which put us 5 days (3 business days) before our opening date. We had to scramble. When we requested emergency service for an internet circuit extension from the building's MPOE, they showed up next day (3/18), but they didn't complete the termination and ghosted me until they sent me a bill for the work. This put us back at least 24 hours. This is not a company I would recommend if you want communication and complete work.

We had signed up with home run security because they had a partnership with our builder. Everything appeared to be fine until last month when our house was being broken into that we ran into a huge problem. We were called by the call center to inform us of glass break at our house and asked if we would like the police called. We said yes. 15 minutes later we were called back stating Home Run Electronics (the security company) never had pulled the permit for our house and therefor was unable to send the police on our behalf. So now 20 minutes have gone by in which we think the police are showing up to our house and someone is breaking in. One of the managers proceeded to tell me that we were being monitored they just couldn't call law enforcement for us. What is the point of a monitoring company if they wont actually call the police. I would not recommend using this company.

HRE designed and install my audio, security and home theater system in my new home 10 years ago and everything has worked awesome. When my grand children accidently change settings and things need to be tweaked HRE has been there to maintain the system. If my family or I need future control systems for smart homes HRE would be my first call. Big shout out to Brian in service for keeping me up and running.

We had Homerun Electronics come out in early February 2023 and install the "smart home" features we purchased with our new build home. Right away the Google Doorbell (wired, 2nd generation) didn't work with the Google Nest Hub Max, probably because it was installed last after they figured out how to change the voltage from 9 to 16. In less than a month since installation, more and more of this so-called "smart home" system began to fail. Now neither of the two cameras (doorbell and Nest Hub Max) work. Homerun Electronics offered to come out at a cost of $150/hour to "try" (no guarantee they will be successful) to fix the issues. At this point, I'm not sure I want to pour good money after bad and will just live with the fact that I have a bunch of fancy electronics with no ability to view or converse with who is at the front door when it rings.

Bottom line: They're not good at what they do and they're not professional or friendly. The salesperson Mike, I don't know the right word to describe the guy. HRE was forced on us by our builder. The only thing I can think of is somebody at the builder knows the owner or something because I've never seen such a nasty salesperson before. Perhaps if you buy their total alarm system then they're better? But the builder used them for the total solution (wiring + hardware + monitoring), and because we didn't buy the hardware and monitoring, they didn't want to even talk to us. Showed up late or not at all. At our first walk through the builder rep asked about low voltage wiring and I told him that I didn't know because I never heard back from the guy. It took them several weeks just to meet with us because he wasn't interested in where we wanted outlets and wasn't interested in describing what would go where. As far as I can tell he just wanted to let the installers put stuff wherever they wanted or not at all. Unfortunately, when the builder forces a company on you you have to go with them because they're the only ones allowed to do the wiring. If I had a choice I would have told these jokers to gtfo.Edit: I just looked on their website and they do TV installs and motorized shades. I need 5 TV's done and motorized shades. Guess who I'm not using! :-)

This place never answers a call and never calls you back. If they do it is on their random workers phone numbers and they never leave you a voicemail. Good luck ever getting ahold of anyone when you are not at work in general. Got this for free with our home builder, but honestly wish I would have gone somewhere else. Terrible customer service.

We have been working with our representative Hai Monsees for about 4 months now on our new home. We have enjoyed his expertise in guiding use through the entire process of choosing both our home theater products and sound system in other parts of the house. We met directly with Hai this past week to see various products and listen to them. We were impressed as to how he walked us through the various components for the home theater system as this can get confusing! He was very honest as to his opinion and asked a lot of questions as to what we were looking for and our interests. His company has already installed the low voltage wiring in our new home and we are looking forward having the speakers and home theater system installed after we move in! We highly recommend Hai and Homerun Electronics!

Home run electronics (HPE) established a business entity to support the residential demand for home security systems in conjunction with other business segments of the HPE brand name several years ago. When I purchased my new home a few years ago I hired the HPE home security business entity to procure equipment, install the equipment, repair and maintain the equipment they purchase on my behalf, address notifications of equipment failure from the CMS monitoring service, maintain customer records of these terms and conditions, and have on hand sufficient competent resources to meet these obligations. I just learned that HPE home security system business entity is just a very small operation without basic business records to support their procurement, sales, inventory, and customer relation records. They simply procure and install off the shelve equipment, and have no competence in the areas of sales, customer inventory records, warranty coverage, billing practices for equipment failure and replacement, maintenance timing, CMS service notifications of equipment failure, and simple written policies and procedures for maintaining basic common sense customer relation practices. The person in-charge of demonstrating these basic industry standard practices has none of these skillsets. Simple return phone calls for their equipment failure are not returned. This has happened several times forcing me to find other solutions to resolve HPE equipment failures. Extremely frustrating, making me wonder why HPE is even in the home security system industry, and make me question whether HPE has sufficient competent resources to address equipment repair and maintenance. Additionally, I do not know how HPE reports sales for tax and financial reporting purposes without basic business documentation to support these transactions. Their business practice limitations and competencies should be communicated more effectively to the customer before advertising and selling the home security product.
