Three of us had a reservation to go horse riding (reservation was made two weeks in advance). At the time of the reservation they took credit card information for the reservation fee. When we arrived the place was closed and after two hours of waiting, as well as coming back later in the day, there was still no one. We called the office number on the door and left voice mail - two days later we have not gotten a call back. We also, got the owner's phone number from neighbors and he never returned our call either. We left a hand-written note for the owner, which also did no good about getting anyone to call us back. After this disappointing experience we certainly will never go back or recommend this place.

I am reviewing this as a boarder. I boarded my horse here for about 2.5 months. I wanted to have a birthday party for my daughter and had to pay for her to have it at the ranch (even though I already paid board and owned my horse). They even required me to write up my own waiver to have birthday guests sign. Later on, I was told in a way that a father would get onto their child that boarding did not give me access to anything at the ranch besides trails and the arena, if it was unoccupied. When I first moved in, I was told I could store my tack in the tack room. A month later, I was told that boarding did not give me access to the tack room.I saw the ranch go through 2 rounds of staff in the time I was there. The first round was clueless and did not have answers to any of my questions about boarding (what type of hay my horse was being fed, what I had access to, etc.). The second round was condescending and sexist (called me honey, sweetheart, gave me a "talking to" when I had my daughter's birthday party there, and had all kinds of unsolicited advice for my horse). The ranch is very messy and poorly maintained. There is not any shelter for the horses in the pasture boarding. The phone is never picked up and messages are not returned. Everything has to go through the owner, who you never meet or talk to. The various homes on the property are occupied by renters and stable hands, who are not friendly. Once when I needed help, I had to go around knocking on doors. I found out I was disturbing renters, who had no relation to the ranch. It took forever to find the stable manager, who lived as far away from the horses as possible. For $250, you can find a way better place to board your horse.

I came here specifically to go horse back riding. The trail was about 1 hour. I liked how we went through slopes and inclines. The lady who gave us the tour was very kind and informative. Overall the whole ambiance was very calm and relaxing.

This is a place my daughters and I made memories, and for as long as I'm able we will be back. The people and experiences we had here are exactly what you want from just this kind of place. I could not say enough nice things. It was fun, peaceful and rewarding all at once. Last summer was really hot and we don't have any air conditioning of any kind at all..none. This is what prompted our spur of the moment mountain road trip. We needed the elevation, we wanted to get away to cool off, I googled and we found 'The Triple B Ranch'. This was a really awesome find. So the directions to Woodland Park that they emailed me were dead on. Please remember it was my daughters and myself in uncharted territory in the minivan on the loose. The fact that we made it there without incident is a really super duper start in my book. Thanks Triple B. We pull up on a dusty dirt road and we know it's going to be just perfect. We check in at the front office, the ladies there are great and send us off to our cabin. How cute...how clean...how quaint...how newly done but still SO rustic. We brought a lot of grub so I can cook while here. Full kitchen..bonus! There is NO TV we can actually communicate. I LOVE IT HERE and may never ever leave. OK... so we settle in and the first thing we notice is a huge, super fun amount of farm cats, very willing to buddy up to you and nuzzle like they've known you for years. We named a big, fat, orange one Whiskers and I swear he came each time we called. He was the quintessential fat cat. I am pretty sure he slept in between my daughters in an actual bed the last night after potentially sharing roasted chicken but you did not hear this from me....Also a new litter of kittens under the cabins next to ours was enough entertainment for days on end. Whiskers won my heart though. The second thing we saw was David, one of the ranch hands taking the mares from the stables to the pastures for the night. OMG he walked the mommies and their foals would trot along beside them and it was the cutest most beautiful thing we'd ever seen. Mommy horses and babies...right outside our doorstep? Life is sooo good. We went on beautiful guided rides, one for a steak dinner. It was sublime. The ranch hands, Brittany and David were totally into encouraging my daughters and even allowed them full barn access and had them feed the mares by themselves one night. They were THRILLED. Thank you both sooo much! My kids will never forget this. You are both priceless. It is also within about 20 miles of different great CO. locations in and near Colorado Springs. We did the Cog railroad and had a blast. It is really a pretty place to be. A great place to be. We just enjoyed ourselves...it was simple and TV free and full of animals both big and small. The staff was top notch and we are so coming back. This place made me feel better, made some incredible memories and helped me see life more clearly..how many stars is that worth?

After multiple calls, and attempts trying to make a reservation it took TWO days of texting. I originally asked if they had any availability, so they asked what day am I looking for, I replied Saturday would be great. They then told me they are booked out for the next two weeks, and I said okay, I'll do whenever available, I'm really wanting to take my daughter on this experience. To which they replied they are booked out until summer. What a waste of time, and why the run around?? Will absolutely avoid this place in the future.

Our family of 5 (kids ages 8, 11, 15) had a great experience on our one hour trail ride. Carol (our guide) was friendly, attentive, easy going - a pleasure to spend time with. The horses were beautiful and well cared for. Carol made sure we were all comfortable on our ride up into the hills of their 80 acre ranch with views of Pikes Peak. I highly recommend Triple B!

My family of inexperience riders, signed up for a trail ride at the Triple B Ranch. We were fully expecting a calm horse-train ride through beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, that did not happen as my ride ended after 5 minutes with a concussion and a fractured tailbone. We were in a very large group with other families and after everyone was put on a horse, the wranglers looked around and realized that the horse I was supposed to ride wasn't brought into the corral. I didn't think anything of it as they went and got the other horse. They helped me get on the horse and started the safety talk. My horse seemed unsettled and at one point in the corral ran over to one of the wranglers. I told the wrangler I was sorry the horse clearly wanted to come see her and she said it was fine, the horse just need a little comfort. That was a red flag I clearly missed. We started out on the trail with something like 14 riders and 3 wranglers. My horse was too close to the horse in front of us. She literally had her nose in the other horses tail. The male wrangler kept instructing me to pull back on the reigns and keep the horse away from the one in front. I pulled back several times to no avail. Finally, the female wrangler directly behind me, instructed me to stop pulling on the reigns. She said it would be fine if the horses was so close to the horse in front I followed her instructions and let the reigns go loose. When the train of horse came to a stop briefly along a line of trees, my horse bolted between the horses and the trees. As she ran, I was whipped by several tree branches in the face and chest. I could hear the wranglers calling at me to pull back on the horse and I as terrified as I was, I tried. When she ran out of the trees, she started to turn back to the stables. I desperately tried to hold on, and really thought I could, but according to my son, the horse bucked, and I was thrown off. I sustained a concussion and tailbone fracture. I am most grateful that my children or any of the other children on the ride, were not on my horse. It is easy to say it was a one off experience, but after reading some of the other reviews, some of them are hidden by yelp, I don't believe the Triple B Ranch is safe. I wish I had done my research before getting on their horse. People are getting hurt and even one woman has died at the Triple B ranch. While I was in Colorado Springs, I wanted to go horseback riding, but when I got there I couldn't get on the horses back. I found out through an employee there that I wasn't use to being in such high altitudes. And that I should drink plenty of water and to avoid caffeine while I was on vacation if I were to go horseback riding. When I made the appointment to go riding no one told me this until I got to the ranch. I tried several times to get on the horses back but I couldn't do it. I was told by the employees there not to go riding and it was no fault of mine. If they hadn't told me this; and had me go riding and something were to happen to me, they would be held liable because they knew about the condition that I was in. I asked for my money back because they knew about my condition, but they refused. I own my own travel agency and I would never do this to one of my clients. So I will never suggest to a client of mine to use their venue. I had a bad experience.
