Hillside Colorado Cottages

I stayed here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it! I booked the Sunshine & Solitude cottage. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to stay another evening, to extend my experience and stay in a different cottage.Hillside Colorado Cottages is such a perfect location to unwind and decompress; a great opportunity to unplug from all of your mobile devices. So, heads up here! If you're looking for a place where you will be guaranteed cell phone service, this most likely isn't the best option for you. If you truly want to "unplug" and decompress, without all the daily distractions, this is the place for you.My cottage was clean and quiet. I had beautiful views of the mountains. I also saw a family of deer at dusk, not too far from my cabin. I thought that Westcliffe was peaceful. Hillside is quieter.... Shhhh..... Perfect setting to go on your own spiritual retreat. This is exactly what I needed for what I've had going on in my life lately. I feel recharged. Looking forward to spending another evening at Hillside Colorado Cottages.

I was in a wedding here this past weekend and we had such a great time. The grounds are gorgeous and offer some fantastic views of the mountains. It was lovely to wake up to and such a nice change of scenery (and humidity) fromSTL. I am unsure of the name of the cottage we stayed in, but it had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This was perfect for the bridal party, as there were 4 of us. We had enough room to get ready in the living room with hair and makeup without feeling cramped. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. I recommend bringing disposable silverware, cups, and plates to save you time on dishes if you have a big party! The venue offered a lot of other cottages for the bride and groom, as well as the groomsmen. It was easy to hop from building to building. My favorite part was where cocktail hour was- it was under the willows (gorgeous) and offered shade and such a casual outdoorsy feeel. They also had lights hanging up and a couch. So cool. It was an intimate ceremony with great views. Everyone was so accommodating and lovely!! Thank you.

Comfy chic cottages with stellar views all around! We stayed one night in the pet-friendly Sunshine & Solitude cottage. Great communication from the owners on everything you need. Reminded us of a luxury tiny home with very nice furnishings, linens and aromatherapy shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. I think the bed has a tempurpedic mattress which felt good. Prices are super reasonable given the finishes in the cottage. The Westcliffe area is a beautiful place to hike, gaze at the mountains, and explore. We're looking forward to returning in the summer to paddleboard and hike.

Beautiful views, clean and very nice place. Very confortable bed! My husband and I spent one night in December, the sunset and sunrise was breathtaking! We went to have dinner at Choppy's in the next town - Westcliff- love this place! We will definitely come back!

Wonderful, modern, fully equipped cottages in the historic "town" of Hillside. Your fellow residents of Hillside will be mostly horses, cows and beautiful mountains.

These are really cute little cottages - at one time I think they were old cabins which they have refurbished, with some original wood flooring and beams on the ceiling. The one we stayed in reminded me of a "tiny house". They are beautifully decorated with modern decor. They are also very CLEAN - the cleanest place I stayed on a 10-day vacation! Even though tiny; they are equipped with amenities for cooking (pots and pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc.) They have the most awesome shampoo; conditioner, and bath gel! It has a wonderful rosemary/mint aroma which is so refreshing! This place is just right off the freeway, so you hear a fair amount of freeway traffic during the day but not at night. Depending on which cottage you stay in; you will either have a nice, peaceful view of rolling hills or trees or a view of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range (which is what I prefer). There are beautiful horses out in the pasture and at night countless stars in the sky - just an overall beautiful, peaceful place!

Giddy. That's one of the prevailing words I felt during my two days as a citizen of Hillside, Colorado. Regardless of which cabin you select, they are all situated in a really beautiful valley with stunning views in all directions. I'm Gary, 63 years old, and I was there with youthful Sharon. We liked the location because of its proximity to many hiking trails and the fun restaurants of nearby Westcliffe. The cabin was cozy and well appointed (even standard cooking tools and many spices!), and we especially liked the ability to control the interior temperature with options for ceiling fans, air conditioning and heat. We needed only the ceiling fans during our stay. For a brief time, Sharon and I were the only people in all of Hillside. The feeling reminded me of the thrill I had as a kid when my parents left me home alone for the weekend! Such splendid isolation in such a gorgeous place. We will return.
