I love this place! The service at both their locations is always wonderful. Adam, the owner had to deliver me the bad news that the serger I had been using for 15 years, was officially deceased, and no amount of service would have made it work again, and he then proceeded to go above and beyond to help me get a new machine to work with. I purchased a refurbished Bernina overlock machine, which is a MASSIVE UPGRADE from what I'd been using, and he sold it to me for a steal. Yesterday I lost my wallet in the store, and was having a generally rough day, went home to look for my wallet, couldn't find it, came back to the store and the employees started trying to help me find it, and I'd left it on one of the red chairs, and it's red enough that it blended right in. When I found it, I was so overwhelmed with relief, I began to cry a little, and the delightful woman with the lovely blue glasses, gave me a big hug, right away. The other lady who was helping me look was very supportive and sweet as well. This is a wonderful crew of people who are locally run, sell high quality products, and genuinely want to help their customers get the best deals on the best equipment they need for their skill levels and projects. I cannot say enough kind things about this wonderful business. Please go see them if you're interested in learning to sew or have been sewing for decades. 10/10 on all metrics.

This is one of my favorite quilt stores in the Springs. The ladies here and the service they provide is top notch. I brought my mom here when she was visiting me on vacation and she gladly walked out with plenty of goodies. She then got the chance to meet the owners at the Road to California show in Ontario not long after. When I needed help trimming fabric accurately for a bulletin board in my classroom, I went straight to HCQ. Carol was an absolute sweetheart and went above and beyond to help me with this task. Janet remembered me from when I was in with my mom about a month earlier. The quilt community is so warm and welcoming- and this store is no exception! We will be staying loyal customers!

This full service quilt store has everything you need to enjoy your hobby. Audrey, one of the sales associates, was so friendly and helped me find some specialty fabric for a landscape quilt. They have a large assortment of fabrics by the bolt, notions, and quilt samples on display. There is a large classroom and the shop offers a multitude of classes each month. They also have long arm machines. You can take a class in long arm quilting and then rent time on a long arm to quilt your own quilts.

I stopped at this store on my way to a quilting retreat. I thought I didn't need anything, but walked out with several yards of several different fabrics! I love this shop. High quality fabrics at not so high prices. I could have spent hours in this store.

I visited the store 10 minutes before they closed and the gal who worked there was extremely rude and short with me. Customer service is key to keeping a business in operation. Whether a customer spends $5 or $100, every customer should be treated with respect.

Stopped during a weekend trip to CO Springs. So glad I did! Absolutely excellent selection of fabrics: batiks, modern, traditional, and variety of anything in between. If you're looking for thread, this has the best selection I've ever seen, to the point I was almost overwhelmed by all the options; luckily one of the employees helped me narrow it down. Super friendly staff. Makes me want to drive the 1.5 hours from home just to go there on a regular basis.

I love this store. The owners (Karen and Jean) are so kind. They have an amazing staff who are so helpful. Whether you are trying to find fabric or just help on what thread to use for your project. In addition they offer amazing classes - the best in town to learn your machine - and wonderful classes on learning to quilt to more advanced classes. The find ways to help make your projects easier to understand and create and make the process easier and faster. I've taken classes all over the Springs and find their classes are the ones I continue to sign up for. They sell Bernette and Bernina's but welcome all sewing machine brands in class.Related to their service, most of my issues with my Bernina have been my fault for not remembering what they have taught me in class. Many times, my machine issues have been resolved on site in far less than a week (and many times while I am in a class). I think my serger, which is a very old machine (when Bernina didn't actually make their own sergers (they do now)) took maybe two weeks because I moved things I shouldn't have, but even then, they made sure I was kept aware of the status. I couldn't be happier.

High Country Quilts is a fabulous shop! They have a tremendous selection of top quality fabrics and sewing/quilting supplies and notions. As a Bernina dealer they offer machines, accessories, service and training for customers of all skill levels. I love the variety of classes available at the shop but the best part about the shop are the owners and staff. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Instructors and sales staff treat customers as if they are family! This is the place to find quality product and service...so rare in retail these days!

It was time to upgrade my sewing machine and I had heard that Bernina was an excellent quilting machine. This brought me to visit HCQ where I knew they were distributors of Berninas but what I didn't know is how Karen and Jean take you completely under their wing and walk you through every detail of this amazing machine. The service doesn't stop there and soon you feel like your part of a new network of supportive sewers. I have called numerous times with questions and every person at the shop has been so helpful. Gary is the on-site technician and gives one on one tutorials on everything from threading your machine to cleaning your bobbins. Free classes are always available and scheduled on a timely basis. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or felt more prepared to buy this amazing machine.
