Hideaway Retreat Center

We had a wonderful family reunion at The Hideaway in late June. First of all, it is a beautiful site! A great view both outside and inside. It is not far from Colorado Springs, yet feels so private. Jason really helped with all of the pre-planning and was quick to respond to all of my questions via email. Jodi was so helpful and accommodating during our reunion stay! The meeting room and guest rooms were so nice and set up perfectly! One guest room did not have a portable cooler, but Jodi worked with us to change the guest accommodations to take care of that. There are a limited number of rooms with no stairs, but it was fine for our family.The view from the dining room was amazing! The meals were delicious, and the serving staff was so friendly and quick. The specialty breads and desserts were outstanding! We appreciated the coffee, tea, and water being available throughout the day and evening.Our family enjoyed volleyball, gaga ball, ping pong, cornhole, horseshoes, and just wandering around the grounds. It was wonderful to have a family meeting room so that we could visit and play games throughout the weekend. Overall, our family loved the Hideaway!

We are not the traditional customer of the Hideaway but will definitely recommend it to any and everyone.My grandmother came into town to stay a month with me. The house we live in isn't setup currently for someone who has limited mobility. We have no shower/bath on our first level and my grandmother is limited to the number of stairs she can do. I reached out to Hideaway to see if we could use their facilities. I was looking to "rent" a room from them a day at a time to take my grandmother to shower. The owner Jason heard my request out and said that he would be able to assist with my request. He allowed us to come in and use one of his rooms that were not being used at the time. When we spoke about payment he asked me to tip the house cleaning and we would be to good to go.I can not even begin to praise jason and his team for allowing us to use their facilities in a non traditional way. Their place is beyond spectacular. They have views that many dream of. This facility is located tucked in the woods where you can find peace and enjoy your surroundings.While we did not use them as a traditional customer I would highly recommend anyone looking for a facility for a small cozy wedding, family reunion, work retreat, etc, this place would be a great find for you. The following pictures are from the room we were allowed to use for my grandmothers showers. It's setup to sleep 3 and has a very cozy feeling. We will be seeing Hideaway soon!!

What a wonderful time we've had at a four day retreat at The Hideaway! Top notch accommodations. Great food all prepared fresh onsite. Great job of accommodating dietary restrictions. Outstanding staff who do all they can to make your stay perfect - friendly, polite. Beautiful mountain view and grounds. Highly recommended. Our group of 24 will be back next year!

Clean rooms, decent amenities (game room, fire pit, library, small workout room, some bigger rooms for meetings and group activities), lovely natural surroundings... but a few things were lacking to make this place really great. Namely:- No kleenex anywhere! Not in the rooms, not at the reception or anywhere you might wish for one. You'll be using TP or your sleeves. - one-ply, rough TP. Come on, you can do better than that. - small room AC is super loud on lowest setting, disturbing sleep. I mean, SUPER LOUD.- skylight does not filter light enough - it's hard to sleep when there is a spotlight shining on you the moment the sun is up! The light is no joke - it was enough to trigger migraines. Give us options to filter light, please.- only one charging block by king bed. There should be two, on each side, so people can charge their laptops, cellphones etc without having to stretch their power cords across the bed, bothering their bedmate. - decor is bland, sedate and outdated (acceptable, I guess?)- unclear breakfast instructions. we tried filling in forms for special diets, but these were never acknowledged. Manager was impossible to reach. Breakfast serving hours were impossible to predict (some days two services, some days one service, one day, no service?)- manager is nowhere to be seen, and the low-level workers appear incapable of any decisions without the managerOther than that, the place it great.

I can't say enough how awesome this place was, from Jody at the front desk to the workers serving breakfast to how clean our room was. The view from our room was amazing and the grounds are beautiful and not to far of a drive into Colorado Springs. We will definitely be back again! We had the whole west wing to our selves with a nice seating area and fireplace. We had two rooms one that my husband and 1 year old so. Stayed in and out parents right next door. Parents I. Room 5 we had room 6.

The best Christian (or other) retreat I've ever enjoyed. Great location, great team, splendid accommodations. And we ate really well.

Awesome retreat space! Attended a wedding and reception here and it was perfect! Great staff and wonderful setting. Delicious food and general manager Jodi was so accommodating. Wonderful weekend! Thank you for your great service! Highly recommended

A great little spot -perfect for smallish business retreats/meetings, weddings or family reunions. I was here for a work-related retreat with about 30 total people and we were able ot have the whole place to ourselves. Pretty accessible, but also feels nice and remote as a retreat spot should be. Owner and staff were very accomodating. Food was OK - not amazing, but acceptable.

This is a great hidden gem. Family owned and personal, this resort has more rooms than what it lets on from the outside. Food is decent and my friends say they have become much more diverse in the items they serve. Smile, say hi to the front clerk, and enjoy yourself among the natural beauty of Colorado.Three words for this place: simple, serene, and peaceful.

Amazing service. clean, beautiful. I highly recommend this location for reunions, group training retreats. It is a hidden gem!!
