The Wings 5/5. - Good amount and the price was great! The Waffle Fries 4/5. - A little bit too much seasoning but it was edible The service was great. The time we went there was only one server for the restaurant The atmosphere was great! We went during the week and not so crowded !

Really fun bar/restaurant with a great atmosphere and speedy, very friendly service. The food was mostly delicious with one miss.This was our first visit so we ordered a variety of items. We started with an appetizer sampler including onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fried zucchini. All three were very tasty and served piping hot with cool Ranch for dipping. My wife ordered a soup/salad combo with French Onion soup. The soup was the only thing that wasn't great. Seemed way too salty. But her salad was great. The moment we mentioned the salty soup, our server cheerfully said he'd comp the soup.I ordered a 10-piece medium hot wings. The bone-in wings were delicious and adequately spicy. Just right. Just a lot to eat for me. I'd have been happier with 5 wings, but I get that it's a shareable size. I also ordered a bowl of green chili. It was really good. Great heat. But, just wasn't exactly what I expected. I think I'm still learning about what I want in a bowl of green chili. All in all, it was a great first visit. The restaurant was clean and service was a highlight. We'll be back.

Haven't been here in a year or so. The Hatch has been spotty (food and cleanliness), and there are so many options near here. We were pleasantly surprised tonight. The service was excellent. The table was clean. We got the stuffed mushrooms which is probably the best thing on the menu. The hot wings were good, juicy and HOT. We split the fish and chips. Food came out hot, the fish was good. The chips were nice and hot. Only complaint would be the music is always so LOUD and there aren't any half walls/barriers to break up the sound. It's basically a bar with pool tables etc. and they serve decent food too.

Wow... so disappointing after we ventured out to the Broadmoor Arts Festival today.Decided to hit the Hatch Cover again after a trip last year and the atmosphere was a bit off.We did enjoy the cold crisp beer but we decided to keep it simple with the pub fries. They were large waffle fries scattered on a half sheet and doused with Cojack cheese and crispy bacon with a side of sour cream.We were hopeful but the dish lacked flavor so we asked a server for some jalapeños to add to the dish. Crazy as the jalapeños were a $1.00 add to the dish for a small condiment sized cup!Anyways, we loved the Hatch Cover when we lived at Autumn Heights apartments years ago and did enjoy the wings last year...After today's trip and the overall state of the restrooms, we won't be back!

Super fun vibe! Food and drinks are yummy and affordable. Our server was amazing too!!!!

It had been quite awhile since I'd been to The Hatch Cover. The place hasn't changed which has its pros and cons. This is a working class type joint, complete with pool tables, electronic gaming and a juke box. Spacious enough to keep it from feeling divvy. The food prices are super fair! $5.49 for a basket of cross-cut fries and onion rings and the highlight of our meal. I'll take it. The club sandwich/green chile combo was $8.99, a steal but not great. The club was ok, the green chile just seemed like warmed up salsa not something thoughtfully made. The Hubcap Sandwich was as big as the plate it came out on. It was truly monstrous and had to be eaten with a knife and fork. It tasted good but could come with a sauce or two for dipping. We were there at lunch time and the restaurant was not adequately staffed. It seemed that one server was taking care of the entire place. This led for a simple lunch taking over an hour. Beer and happy hour pricing looked great. Overall our meal and experience was just pretty "eh".

Staff members are helpful and responsive to requests; overall environment is laid back. Pool tables and darts are nice, although the availability of the latter can be limited due to private parties in the room housing the dart boards. The food is subpar at best. For instance, the first time I ordered wings, they cooked them so long that they broke into pieces after being bitten. The next time I ordered wings they were properly cooked, but the wings lacked any flavor whatsoever. The beer and wine selections are adequate though.In the end, not a bad place for socializing and playing a few games while having a beer. Just avoid the food and grab something to eat on the way home...you'll be better off.

This is our go to spot for late night snacks and drinks! They have AMAZING fries, and the wings are great! The staff is always super welcoming and we're slowly becoming regulars. Would def recommend. 4 stars because sometimes customers there get a little rowdy but nothing to do with the business!

Food-Chicken Parm gets a zero due to too much breading and no sauce; wings-okay, nerf more sauce, a minute more to crisp and less salt; mushrooms are a 10, so delicious that I want to eat them everyday, but a lot of garlic but do good! They come in a garlic Alfredo cream sauce, so some bread to soak it up! Beer/cocktail list is great! Ambience is typical bar but too loud to hear your conversation. Service was great! Prices were decent! They didn't discount for the lousy parm!

Never a bad meal. My favorite is the fish and chips. Burgers are great as well. Leave the husband here while you shop southgate for the holidays :)
