What a great little boutique! I generally dread walking in boutiques because they almost always have a ton of items that I would love to purchase but never do because I am not a millionaire! Halo, however, is not that boutique! The prices in this store are more than reasonable (This coming from a girl who typically only shops at Ross... $40 for a new pair of jeans? Not for me! Try $20!!) and I ended up walking out with 3 items for under $60!They have pretty mild styles which I also loved. I don't tend to enjoy (or purchase for that matter) flashy and overtly "fashionable" items of clothing. The inventory here is not flashy but it isn't boring either. It is cute, trendy and full of items that you can mix and match and wear for any occasion. They also have a great selection of jewelry, scarves, and handbags. I will most definitely be back!

The woman working was super friendly and honest when it came to giving her opinion on how clothes fit. I did not find anything for myself, but that may be because of how difficult I am when looking for winter clothes. The place is clean and I could definitely see myself going back in the summer.

I was on a girls trip in Colorado when we stumbled upon this cute boutique... it said it was affordable so I thought great! Nice selection of clothes I found a cute tunic that looked great on. It was $50 which I will occasionally spend on something I really like so I bought. Was a little nervous about the fabric because I had leggings like it that pilled.. sure enough after first wear it started pilling like crazy! I wanted to like this place but am really sad I paid $50 on something so cheaply made. I would really look at clothing carefully if you buy here I'm thinking my top probably wholesale was $5 and they marked it way up bummed

I was hesitant at first to buy anything but upon moving to Colorado this has been the only local boutique I've had any luck with. The employees are never pushy but always informative. I usually end up walking out planning my next outfit and more often than never I'm carrying a halo bag in hand. By far my favorite shopping experience since moving here a year ago.

As I waited for my meal to finish cooking at nearby Paris Crepe, I wandered up Tejon St and discovered a newly opened women's boutique, Halo! From what I understand, they used to be located on Austin Bluffs Pkwy but recently moved downtown in July 2012. I didn't buy anything that first visit, but after seeing reasonable prices and unique pieces I made a mental note to come back, especially after the friendly woman at the register gave me a $5 off coupon just for checking out the store.Today I went through all the clothes more thoroughly. Lots of playful yet sophisticated styles were on display, but surprisingly the prices were even better than at Express or Banana Republic! Most, if not all, of the labels say HALO on them... so I'm not sure if this local boutique designs their own clothes or what? Either way, it was cool to find interesting garments that are both on trend and classy (tops and dresses in flowy, sheer, and/or colorblock fabrics, premium denim by Hudson and DL1961, costume jewelry, etc). It seemed approx 40% of the clothes are Made in USA with the rest being Made in China and Vietnam. The interior is minimalist, clean, and bright, allowing the products to speak for themselves. There are maybe 3-4 pieces available for each style (~1 per each size) hanging along the white walls. Handbags sit on shelves. There are three spacious, curtained dressing rooms with large mirrors and a cushioned bench in front of them for your friends or bored significant other to hang around and wait on.The lone hunky dude working today was nice and efficient - he set me up with a dressing room as I browsed through their clothes. When it came time to check out, he didn't have the attention to detail I'm used to as he wrapped up my purchase in tissue paper- it seemed he almost scrunched my top into a small ball before rolling it in the paper and stuffing it in a tiny bag instead of loosely folding the top and then carefully folding the paper. Don't get me wrong, I did NOT ask for this ritual, but he had already started before I could say anything. Anyway, it was more amusing than anything to watch the guy put in all that effort, even though my shirt is now a bit wrinkled.I subtracted a star because I'd like to see more USA or European-made items, provide XS sizes (don't just stop at Small), and maybe a wider-range of styles. My gut felt that Halo caters to only one or two fashion senses but didn't reach out of the box enough to others that may walk in that door. For example, Idoru used to do a really good job providing a wide variety of style lines between classic, playful, and urban for both college students and soccer moms, and now Colorado Co-op is blossoming with their own way of attracting the all-ages city-dweller and the streamlined hipster. If Halo could figure out a way to both define themselves but not lock themselves in stylistically, I think there could be a winner there. Lots of potential here! This last paragraph probably doesn't make any sense, but I don't know how else to describe my overall sense of the place.Overall I liked the collection and the prices, so pay downtown a much-needed visit! And I can't wait to see what Halo has in store for Autumn!

I absolutely love this store! I've only been in once and I know I'll be back again. The owner was so sweet and I never felt pressured. I love that they cater to the military and college students. Their prices are decent too! I love shopping local especially when it's affordable.

I had some time to kill before my monthly facial appointment and had always meant to check this place out. I'm really glad that I did! While I would say a lot of their inventory is in a similar vein as Francesca's, they do carry some premium denim (Paige, DL1961). The owner's philosophy is that you get what you pay for in denim (something I completely agree with) so she decided to go with higher end lines, but keeping the rest of her stock extremely affordable. I found a great green hooded Army jacket, a purple cardigan, a plaid tunic and a cute black lacy bandeau to wear underneath see-through tops. I'll definitely come back here. I love supporting local businesses, especially when they offer such great products!

Really cute clothing, really clean store! But the girl working today was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. I swear she was swiffering behind my every step. Very intensely trying to keep the leaves and any dirt outside the store -- Definitely more focused on this then customer service haha. When my mom asked if she could try on a dress, the girl rudely waved over to the fitting rooms. She was staring at us, yet not saying a word the whole time we were in the store. Which made for a super awkward and uncomfortable experience.

Small and personable. Stop by often because the items are constantly changing. The staff is very friendly, honest and helpful. The prices are reasonable too. Stop by for your special find. I'm glad I did.
