Ooohh Haat Bazar Grocery & Halal Meat....What happened to you? Sometimes, it was indeed a nightmare to shop here, because of the customer service - else, it was SEMI-OK... If the cashier is the lady aka woman...Haat Bazar sells that particular Basmati Rice Brand 10lb ($18.99), that I always use and cook with due to its flavor etc. I have been searching HIGH and LOW for this particular Basmati Rice. **SIGH**They also offer the particular ROSE Syrup Bottle for ($4.99). Prices tend to be on a higher side aka expensive compared to my regular haunts at Arash a block away.Ohh well, Haat Bazar... I hope you can train your staffs with better customer service. Else people would not shop here unless other shop do not offer the items they need. Like in my case is that Basmati Rice!**DOUBLE SIGH**

Pathetic customer service. The guy at the meat counter is very rude, has no manner of speaking with the customer. They don't have transparency in selling the meat. If I order a Goat meat then I expect them to cut the pieces in front of me but they don't do it. An ordinary person can't differentiate between a raw meat of goat, lamb or beef if it is mixed together but it can be easily recognized while eating and based on my experience I can tell you that they are not very honest in this business.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Greetings, and welcome to another review.Today's piece concerns Haat Bazar, a little nook in the shopette on the northeast corner of Parker and Yale (also home to Golden Saigon (see prior review), Mirage Russian Restaurant, and the Korean side-dish vendor called Kimchi Village). Here you will find the expected spices (like the multifaceted blend Garam Masala, and the coriander-cumin hybrid called Dhana-Jiru), seasonings (for such complex, long-cooked meat dishes as Haleem, Nihari, etc.) and sundries (hey, some of those recipes get complicated!) usually available at a South Asian mart. And even some less-expected items - why, once I bought a very intriguing can of Banana Basil Seed drink! But I'll let you in on a little secret (Sssssssssssssssssssshhhh!).With advance notice, the owners can also do catering for almost any event you can think of. Yes, with some preparation they will thrill you with dishes from their native country, Bangladesh. Just think, in (almost) no time you could be snacking on Singhara (potato and veggie turnovers), or perhaps a dish with Elish, that flavorful and very, very, very bony fish loved by Bengalis everywhere. As you digest your creamy, yogurty Bhappa Doi dessert you will wonder how you ever lived without.

Wish I could give them 0 stars. I went in to buy some goat meat for when my parents were visiting and I think the guy behind the counter looked at me and saw a young Indian American girl and thought he could deceive me. Ordered a back leg, didn't cut it up in front of us and when we got home it was definitely not back leg. Extremely boney, I was so pissed! DO NOT GET YOUR MEAT HERE. They are not trustworthy at all.

So everyone in town told me to go to Haat bazar for meat and due to their timing, I have tried every meat shop in Denver and non have the meat quality like a haat bazar. So finally we have been getting our meat and other groceries and been very happy with the whole process. They have real trained butchers that know what they're doing. Vs other places where butchers are changing every few week/month and most don't have a clue what they're doing. It's a family run business, both father and son are very nice and respect your time. They try to serve every customer standing in line. I just wish they have more masala range. Bottom line if you're in CO, Denver or it's suburbs Haat Bazar is the place to go for meat.

All the old reviews are very bad, but it's 2023 and I wanted to say that this place is great and has good customer service. Maybe they have changed over the years, but I've been coming here since I first moved in 2022 and don't go to another halal shop for meat and other spices! Highly recommend and I hope it stays this way!

I bought goat meat from Haat Bazar on March 19, 2022. I went there solely on the recommendation of one of my friends. Today, I get to know that the meat skins are filthy and full of hair. I'm very disappointed. I spent around $50 for it and drove from Laramie to Denver solely to get Indian goods from Haatbazar. The guy who called the shop and his behavior are both disgusting. Please don't buy this store.

I have gone to this store since 2009, back then it was a small shop, both the partners that ran this place had good customer service. As they grew and expanded over the year, the younger owner in the meat started having the shittiest attitude. One day he literally yelled at me for not calling in advance to buy the goat meat. That did it for me! Never went back again.Rude and bad attitude you'll ever experience!
