First time trying this place out (recommended by a friend). I'm not a fan of Mexican food unless it's authentic and this place hit the mark!

An average Mexican restaurant with above average prices. Service was friendly and helpful. Our server was quick with recommendations and prompt. Chips were ordinary, not very fresh or warm and lightly salted. The salsa was the worst I've ever had. To recreate it, get some tomato juice, mix equal parts water, pour in a bunch of chili powder and stir in a few onion dices and cilantro. Super runny, and terrible tasting. My wife's salad was a unique twist and she enjoyed it. My burrito was pricey and stuffed with lots of rice.

Ambiance: Its nicely decorated. Tables were rocking back and forth and dang near costs us a drink. Service:The reason they got two-stars. Our server was doing the best she could. She kept the drinks filled and chip bowls filled. Food: The worse Mexican food I have ever tried. I ordered a Chicken Chimichanga. It had chicken (no flavor) wrapped in a flour tortilla that wasn't deep fried. Several people didn't get what they ordered. There were 5 of us and no one was happy. However, this is Colorado where they don't know how to make authentic Mexican Food.

It was really flipping good I was like who in the h-e-double hockey sticks made this because it was the second best Mexican food I have ever ate behind Taco Bell of course. The waiters were very welcoming and would recommend Taco Bell over them but if Taco Bell for some reason is closed I would say come to Guadalajara

We visited on a Saturday night and this place was busy! Lucky for us we got sat down right away. It was nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. The server was very fast and friendly. The prices are great considering the amount of food you get!! A very big variety! The food came out pretty quick and hot! It was delicious! I was so full from the delicious salsa, cheese dip and chips! I never had a fried chile relleno and it was amazing!! Then they came singing with a big sombrero for my grandsons birthday and he was really excited!! This is definitely our go to Mexican spot!!

After seeing the reviews of this place we had high hopes and were very disappointed in the food. We came here on a rainy Thursday and it was surprisingly busy, which we thought was a good sign. They sat us quickly and gave us chips and salsa fast too. The chips were stale, like they had been sitting out. The salsa was ok, nothing to rave about but not bad. Our waiter came and checked on us multiple times, which was nice, and he kept our drinks full. We ordered a Pepsi, and it was flat, no bubbles. We didn't get a refill and stuck to water after that. I ordered the pork burrito, and it is the worst burrito I've ever had. A frozen burrito would taste better. The pork had a chewy texture and took forever to chew it was also gray as if it was boiled. The taste was no better. They served the burrito with refried beans, rice, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was just nasty, it was super bitter and didn't pair with the food at all. I have never had coleslaw served with a burrito. It was strange and tasted bad. The beans and rice were mid, and you can get better beans from a can at the store. We got a kids meal hard taco with beans and rice and the taco must of been sitting for awhile because when he picked it up the bottom was falling off and he couldn't eat the shell, ended up trying to eat the meat with a fork.We came here starving, looking for good food, and left disappointed and still hungry. None of us finished our food. It is also overpriced for the quality. $15 for a burrito with beans and rice, Taco Bell would taste better and bet cheaper. I don't recommend coming here.

We love the food and service At Guadalajara Family Mexican. It is consistently great food. We have visited with 2 people or as much as 10 and the service has been the same each time. The ambience is welcoming and relaxing. There are tables and booths. After the lockdown and businesses reopened Guadalajara's was the only restaurant we noticed that used that time to care for the restaurant. It looked new, fresh and clean. This is our best go to!!

Looking for a Mexican restaurant outside of Colorado Springs? Stop by Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant in Peyton, Colorado for delicious meals that will leave you completely stuffed. Not only does this restaurant serve house chips and salsa, but they also bring out a bowl of house bean dip to start your meal off with! We split an entree that had shrimp, scallops, chicken, mushrooms, peppers, and onions mixed in a chipotle cream sauce served with a side of rice, beans, and a lettuce bed with guacamole on top. The entree was extremely large and incredibly tasty! The sauce was seasoned perfectly. If we lived closer to this spot, we would visit all the time. Add this spot to your Colorado Springs bucket list!

Very consistent and high quality food and service.Only reason why I gave 4/5 stars is because it is not spectacular, authentic Mexican food that I truly enjoy. But... I'm picky about great Mexican food.But.... they always give me value for my money and a tasty, satisfying meal every time I visit them. Great job!!! You do exactly what you claim to do with high quality and consistency. Most people would not enjoy offal as much as I do, which is traditional Mexican servings. I wish I could give you 4.4/5 rating... but I can not do that.

Being from Mexico I rarely like Mexican Restaurants. For Mexican food I just cook at home, but this place was an option when we were traveling through this town. Needless to say the food, service and atmosphere were all great. Would definitely recommend.
