Coffee in the morning
View from the porch
We had company just before sundown
By the beautiful creek.
This was our cottage (#16)
Stream runs through the property. Great place to sit and relax.

I've stayed at this Motel since I was 4 years old. My parents went to Colorado every year for vacation except every 5 years when we took my grandmother to California to see her sister for a couple of weeks. Green Willow Cottages are the best in comfort, quiet, cozy, and nice people in the court to talk to every day. Wildlife walking thru the acre of courtyard and cabins. I fed the Deers every day. At night, I fed Raccoons and black squirrels in the morning. I absolutely adore Green Willow. I am not sure why they are closed temporarily, but Dan and Mimi, the managers, are absolutely great people persons. They are always eager to help. Last time I stayed there. I had just settled in to #4 Cottage, which is where I always stay when there. I went outside to sit in one of the Adirondack chairs on the porch. Dan walked out of the house with a plate full of steaks and spaghetti squash. He was putting them on the grill. I didn't have to yell because I was close. Dan looked at me. I said what time do we eat jokingly. He got the foods on the grill said it would be just a few minutes. I waved and chuckled. It was late afternoon toward evening and I really was hungry. I went in the cottage to wash up. We were going to go down to a local Mexican Food place I like to eat with. Next thing I know. Here stands Dan with two steaks and 2 halves of Spaghetti Squash. I opened the door and said Dan I was Only kidding. He said I know, but it's late. You've been on the road for several hours today. Take this and enjoy it with our complements. That folks is the kind of great managers Dan and Mimi are. I hope they are open and around when I had that way this year late August. I do love Manitou Springs Colorado. Love to go to Colorado City as well. Thing about Manitou, you can leave mid morning drive in any direction and be back in time for dinner. It is a great base camp, and I love exploring in that area. If the reopen soon. Stay there. I know you will absolutely love GreenWillow Cottages and Motel.

Beautiful scenery, loud neighbors partying after 11pm - site management not only failed to address the issue, but claimed I was lying about it. Refused to refund me for early check out, unless another neighbor supported my claim and backed me up. I would not return. Additionally, a staff member "shush" me and my dogs while I was potty them. Rolled their eyes at me because they barked. Did not feel welcome. No A/C either. Fyi.

The Green. Willow cottages are a great little spot you take your family. The cottages are small and dated, but that is definitely part of their charm. It reminds me of places I stayed with my family as a kid. There are several smaller cottages and one very large one. There is a stream running across the front of the property that is deep enough for kids to get a little wet but not deep enough to be very dangerous (2-3 ft). There are gas grills and a couple of shelters and picnic tables for eating/hanging out.We stayed in one of the smaller cottages and they are very cozy (ie small). But they are very clean and rustic. The cottage had an old 3/4 size refrigerator that worked perfectly. The shower/bathroom was also small. We have 2 middle schoolers and a 1 year old so we were pushing it and knew it.The staff/owners were awesome and very helpful/accomodating. I really liked this place and it is what it is. If you need every luxury/lots of space, you should pass. If you want a nostalgic/cozy ambiance type of cottage, this is for you!

We've stayed here 3 times in 3 years and LOVE it! Such an amazing, quaint ambiance and wonderful location. Awesome little cottages, simplicity at its best! Service by the sisters is awesome as they love their guests and make you feel right at home! The creek out front is so relaxing and calm...the center of town up the road is an easy walk. Coffee in the AM and fires at night.you NEED to stay at this place!

Quaint and affordable cottages located by a river. After making our BBQ dinner right outside our room in the picnic area and eating it on our little front porch, we slept with the windows open and the tranquil sound of the flowing water lulled us to sleep. Plus, the sweet, creative town of Manitou is just a 10 min. peaceful riverwalk away. The place is family owned and the staff is kind, helpful when needed. For example, I left my cell phone charger in our room by accident, and they found and sent it back to me in LA with their complements. I would definitely come back to Manitou Springs and stay here again!

Me and my family went there and stayed for two days. There isn't a pool and a continental breakfast, but the place I stayed in included a microwave, a stove, and 4 rooms: a bathroom, the kitchen, the bedroom, and the bed/living room. It was pretty nice, but I wish the bathroom was bigger and there was air conditioning. Oh, and also, there were two TV's: a puny,old-fashioned one in the the bedroom and a normal-sized one in the living room. By the way, there is no room-cleaning and that's just another flaw right there. And also there RV's around every corner. And that made me feel unpleasant. So,yeah, if you like simple and cheap, stay here, and if you don't, well then, you're just going to have to find another motel to stay in.

I arrived with a pickup truck with a trailer. While I was checking in, I asked about the military / first responder discount they advertise and was told this is for active military only. This seemed to annoy the desk people, and I was instructed to park in the area behind the cottage, then I was instructed to separate the two and park one in front, and one behind it. When I arrived in front of the cottage, whoever the self important person next door was decided he also needed half of the parking area in front of the one I had rented. I proceeded to unhook my trailer in front the cottage when one of the owners came out yelling across the property at me for unhooking it there. By this time, I had had enough, and just asked for a refund and left.
