Some of the captivating paintings of local scenes at Green Horse Gallery.
Found myself a small cup this time with some grey values and tones. LOVE IT!

This place is always such a delight to window shop at! I love seeing all the local artists represented and always find unique pottery and paintings that would look lovely in anyone's home. I do tend to think the prices are a bit steep here, but not out of the norm for an art gallery. I look forward to my next visit!

So many artist's galleries in tourist towns have the same old schlock and the quality varies from excellent to paint-by-number hacks. This store, however has fantastical works of clay, glass, metal and paint that is really outstanding. From risque to whimsical., for utilitarian to impractical fun, its all terrific! And the shop is run by each artist who rotates shop duties. Lastly, the pricing is very fair, particularly for one-of-a-kind works of art

LOVE coming to this gallery every time I am in town! Always beautifully hand crafted works of stunning art! Ken and Tina are the main Artists I come to see, but I have bought several works of art from other artists there too! Bought my first piece when I was 14 years old and now I am 32 and still adding to my collection every year! Always friendly artists working the register who can speak about the other artists work represented at the gallery.

This is one of the better small town galleries I have been to. Like the other reviewer said, so many tourist towns have galleries with the same old same old. I love that they have a lot of really talented local folks showcased. I highly recommend stopping in. Some of my favorite pieces were by Ken and Tina Riesterer. The make some amazing painted pottery. Check it out: http://riesterer.blogspot.com/

BEWARE of the dog that is in this shop!!!! I went into this store with my husband and 3 year old. When walking around we walked past the dog and the dog snapped at my daughter trying to bite her hand. The owner of the dog (and possibly the the store) asked what happened, and I told her. She didn't believe me so she asked my husband if that's what happened. She then told us to get out and shut the door. No apologies, remorse, concern, anything. We left and two ladies followed us out saying they saw what happened and that they were so sorry. I then handed my crying daughter over to my husband and went back in and told the lady she was rude, to not believe me, my daughter deserves an apology and the dog shouldn't be in the store. The lady told me that people walking by tell her the dog snap and shows teeth to them when trying to come in and she never sees it, nor believed it. I was like EXCUSE ME?! People have complained about this before and you KEEP bringing your dog to work?! That's completely unfair to the dog and to innocent people. This is a warning because the dog is going to end up biting someone!
