One of the MOST beautiful parks in the Denver area. It's peaceful serenity will capture your soul, its intense beauty will capture your heart and it's interesting history will capture your mind. Grant Frontier park gets it's name from the students of Grant Middle school that cleaned up and petitioned that this land be turned into a park and the Frontier part comes from that this was the first place that gold was found along the South Platte River before Colorado became a state. A great place to visit, learn and enjoy.

This is an excellent park in southwest Denver, close to the Evans lightrail station. There is a large playground, access to the South Platte River, and access to the Platte River trail, which runs through the park. The access to fishing is awesome, too, and it's a convenient location. A hidden gem in the Overland Park neighborhood!

Very cool park, and something of a hidden gem! One side of the trail (paved, lots of bikes) runs along the river, and the other mostly runs through a beautiful lawn (though the river is still close). You'll also find a fantastic playground for the kids, and plenty of picnic areas. Absolutely worth a visit!
