First time visiting. The selection seemed good. But the sales associate was rude to us.

Service department is amazing. Expert and friendly. Fixed new bad notes on my sax in less than five minutes so I could still play my gig tonight.

We came in to rent a tiny violin for my 5 year old. Everyone was so very kind to us and excited for her. Super helpful and knowledgeable.

I play the tenor saxophone. If you play (or want to play) a band or orchestra instrument, then Graner Music is the place to go. The staff is great and the selection of different instruments is amazing, You will not be disappointed!

They have a good rental program where they put some of your payment towards the purchase of an instrument. It's nice to not feel like you're throwing your money away renting something. The customer service is good. The staff is pretty knowledgeable. It's also nice to have lessons in the same place so if there are any issues with the instrument you can have them addressed.

Rude sales dude kept ringing my sales lady asking how much longer I, the paying customer, was going to be there. If it wasn't because I needed my part quickly, I would have left without buying. The sales lady was very nice, but I'm mad at myself I paid double the regular price for the privilege. I will never come back.

This used to be an amazing business. My family has a long history of Mel Graner. So, I've had a lot of loyalty towards this company that especially recently I'm finding was no longer deserved. Recent experiences haven't been nearly as good. I was not happy with customer service recently and the fact that we rented to own a used instrument and they're wanting us to pay near new instrument prices. I had asked for it to be noted what it look like and how heavily used it looked when I first picked it up so that my son would not be responsible for the condition if he decided to turn it in and play a different instrument. I am finding out that they have no record of that.Meeker music is telling me that I will know the price that I am renting to buy, upfront. There isn't any of these silly algorithms that they're using now at Graner. I will know the use price and I will know how much is going into it each time and then how long we rent until I own it is all upfront.Unfortunately, with my loyalty, I trusted too much and I didn't have any of that upfront information when we rented.

I'll make this short. With what is going on in the world, I believe I need to say it. I am black and I am a veteran. Between the Pandemic and the state of racial unrest, I've been feeling quite uncomfortable. Music relaxes me and helps with my PTSD. I needed a part for my bass. I went to Graner Music on Barnes. The service was great. I talked to several employees who directed me to Dean. Literally within minutes I was leaving the store. Problem solved. The place is totally following all guidelines dealing with corvid 19, so you feel and you are safe. They also treated me with dignity and respect. I just wanted to let everyone know this is a good business and good people. This is nothing new. This was not my first visit. They have always treated me and all customers as valued customers. Thank you Graner, you made my day

After a tediously long search for a legitimate instrument repair shop (first made matters worse, second refused to do the repair, third offensively overpriced and kept trying to up-sell marked up string packs and an incredibly expensive setup, all of which I didn't want/need) in Colorado Springs, finally stopped in Graner Music--this is the only local music store I will visit from now on! I was immediately greeted by Kyle and other staff members, then kindly directed to the guitar wall/repair area. Aside from the spot-on welcome, I immediately noticed how clean and organized the store was with a wide selection of pianos, guitars, basses, drums, etc. for all levels from beginner to expert, as well as a TON of accessories for almost everything. Details I notice, as I used to work in a music equipment retail shop (Skips Music, Sacramento) during high school. Explained the issue to one of the other repair techs, while Kyle started taking a look. They politely informed me it'd be about a week out, as they're rather busy with repairs, which was no problem at all and this also tells me they're in high demand. About 4 days later, I get a call from Kyle who narrowed down the issue through proper troubleshooting techniques. This is something other local shops surprisingly couldn't figure out. I got a replacement part quickly ordered, coordinated with Kyle to do the swap, and a day later (during Thanksgiving week, keep that in mind!) he was done. They charged an incredibly fair price in my opinion, and did absolutely solid work. Kyle was the star here in this experience, but due to my interactions with other staff members, I can confidently assume that everyone at Graner Music values what they're doing and it shows. Thank you again to Kyle for his expertise and finally getting my guitar sorted out when no one else in Colorado Springs could!!
