Golden History Museum & Park

We stopped in to this local museum about the history of Golden. The staff was nice upon entering and we registered our license plate for free 2 hour parking. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed, we thought there would be more information and displays. The positive is that it is free and the displays were informative about the people that lived there.

The museum along the creek is very clean and nice and a fun little activity to do in Golden. The farm/tour on your own outdoor museum on the other side of the creek is also fun and pretty to check out.

Wonderful museum that used to be a library; it's been beautifully renovated and while it's not large, there is plenty to see during your visit. Family friendly.

We came upon this place because my daughter sought it out. It's a free entry. We walked through and you can stroll through quite vastly.We came across some really neat stuff. The place was entertaining and educational. But it's a single small town and not enough to keep you their for hours.My wife purchased me a book on the history of all the breweries, well most in Colorado. Which I've found very interesting and happy to read and educate myself on a rich town of brewing.

Small museum with interesting tid bits about Golden. One of those facts is that Milky Way purchased their malt from Coors brewery during prohibition. Coors stayed afloat during the prohibition by diversifying their offerings. Also, had no idea jolly ranchers were from Colorado! It's nice that it's a free museum but they gladly accept donations.

So much to do and see. Wish I had more time to look around and learn about Golden and all the amazing women that helped shape this beautiful city.

Came upon this quaint little museum as we walked towards town for a little sightseeing. Admission was FREE! It was the perfect place for us to learn about Golden's history before exploring it! The exhibits were eye catching, also had hands on exhibits for kids. I learned some new things about Coors and Jolly Rancher that I didn't know!

Free museum with neat history about the town of Golden. We stopped and walked around Golden, met some nice people at the visitor's center and were told to stop in here. Learned a lot of neat facts and makes this small little town that much better!

If you haven't been into the museum since June 2018 you must go! The renovation is incredible! My 6 year old and I loved the treasure hunt and block building room. At the end of the treasure hunt we used a code to activate the switch board- so rewarding. Parking is easy. The Park is beautiful and interesting. We love feeding the chickens.

Really cool little musuem off the river. Kids found it interesting and it was a good 1 hour break from the heat. Lots of little bits to learn about old Golden and it is free. Friendly staff as well.
