Old-style motel. For the price, this is an excellent place to stay in Westcliffe. The rooms are quite large and there is a full kitchen, which is very convenient in a town with only a few restaurants open in the evening. A/C worked well. Bathroom has shower but no tub. The bedding needs to be updated. Also, it was quite dusty when we got inside. Hostess was not available most of the time we were there. All in all, a bargain, and highly recommended.

Upon hiking all day arriving with my 2 dogs, I was greeted with a smile and a perfectly kept suite that was fully equipped, very clean and well appointed. The location is set steps from the downtown comprised of shops, restaurants and bakery-coffee shops. The views from our room spectacular.

This is a WONDERFUL place to stay -- so comfortable. Due to a mishap I was using a cane, so Teresa moved heaven and earth to get us a ground floor room. It was so generously sized -- full kitchen, comfortable king bed, huge bathroom. It was exactly what we needed. I don't think I've ever been so relaxed in a hotel. I wish I could post pictures, as it was a lovely, comfortable room.

My family and I moved to Westcliffe in July. Prior to our move, we did a house hunting trip in May. We stayed for 10 days. Our rooms were clean, and it was one of the only hotels that I found with a full kitchen. The motel's website describes it as non-fussy, and that is accurate. If you want fancy, or "chain hotel standards," then skip Westcliffe all together; we're known for our quaint simplicity, and awesome surroundings, not the Grand Hotel like accommodations. I stayed here again in June while we waited for our house to be available. Not only were the rooms very comfortable, clean, and stocked with all necessary kitchen needs, the owner went above and beyond to help us with the ins and outs of the town. She was like our own personal ambassador, and if you have never stayed at high elevations, you may want to make use of the free oxygen sessions. To address the previous review, we are familiar with most of the rooms and thought they were all comparable to one another. As to the cigarette smoke, we had experienced that, too, but that is much better than having a smoke filled room, and if someone was smoking outside, we simply closed our windows. Problem solved. The owner has to accommodate the smokers, too. I hope this review helps.
