On January 1, 2025, we visited this breathtaking palace, and it was an unforgettable experience. The entire place radiated charm and beauty, surrounded by stunning mountain views that created a serene and magical atmosphere. Although the tea room was closed during our visit, we were still able to explore the entire palace on foot, soaking in its historic architecture and charming decor.Outside, there was a quaint little coffee shop with friendly staff who made us feel welcome. They also had a bookstore that added an extra layer of charm to the experience, making our trip even more special. The combination of cozy vibes, great coffee, and an array of books to browse was absolutely delightful. To our surprise, we spotted wild animals in the surrounding areas, further enhancing the picturesque setting. The views of the mountains were absolutely gorgeous, making it feel like we had stepped into a fairytale. The interior decor of the palace was steeped in history, and every corner gave off a cute, vintage vibe. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and provided us with insightful information about the palace, which added a lot to our experience.Parking was another perk--it was completely free, though you needed to pick up a yellow pass from the front door to display in your car. I'm not sure if this arrangement applies on regular days, but it was convenient for our visit. While exploring, we noticed a group being guided by someone who was explaining the history of the palace. However, we chose to explore on our own, and it was just as enjoyable. The palace also seemed to be a venue for weddings, which we could easily imagine being absolutely magical. With its historic charm, gorgeous surroundings, and romantic vibes, it would make the perfect setting for a fairytale wedding.Overall, this visit was an incredible way to start the year, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of history, nature, and cozy vibes.

The afternoon tea at Glen Eyrie Castle was truly a highlight of our stay. The experience was nothing short of delightful, combining an elegant atmosphere with a delicious selection of teas and treats. The tea menu offered a wonderful variety, including black, rooibos, green, and white teas. Each attendee receives an individual tea pot so that you can steep to your liking. The tea sandwiches, salad, and pastries were all fresh and delish, but the standout for me was the turkey sandwich. The chipotle cranberry sauce added a subtle yet perfect "bite" that made it absolutely scrumptious.I highly recommend the afternoon tea for anyone visiting Glen Eyrie--it's a must-try that truly elevates the castle's enchanting atmosphere.

I booked a morning tea here for my partner's birthday in May and we had a fantastic time. The employees were all so friendly and wished my partner a happy birthday. They have the timing down here too - everything flowed very well. The food was delicious and they accommodated for my soy allergy, offering me an extra dessert when I couldn't have the miso soup starter. Let's go through the menu. We went in May, so we got the spring menu. * Crème a caramel tea - very tasty, both on its own and with cream and sugar * Berry berry tea - also a good tea, on its own and with cream and sugar * Spring onion and ginger miso soup - I couldn't try this as I'm allergic to soy, but my partner said it was pretty good * Field greens salad with goat cheese and pine nuts - I'm not a salad person so I wasn't big on this, but the goat cheese was delicious * Roast beef sliders - these were SO GOOD! Packed with flavor! * Salmon canapés - I didn't try these as I don't like fish, but my partner enjoyed them * Goat cheese and tomato canapés - pretty good! * Lavender honey cheesecake scones - to die for! They weren't dry or crumbly and were simply delicious. The butter made them even better * Hot cross buns - delicious! The glaze was so good and the butter really added to them * Passion fruit panna cotta - this was my favorite part of the meal. This was so so good. It was creamy and tart and refreshing, everything I wanted in a dessert. I've dreamt of this dessert since * Chocolate truffles - nothing to write home about, but a good way to end the meal

This is a very quaint and elegant tea time. The surroundings are calm and peaceful. The ambiance is old-fashioned and comforting. Although a bit pricy the food was delicious. The server was somewhat attentive. I enjoyed it very much. We plan on going back!

The tea has been the top of the experiences for us at Glen Erie. Though expensive, for a special day out, the lunch was incredible. Eight peopl, and eight portions. Amazing teas, my favorite was Pumpkin chai. Golden beet soup, turkey sandwich, open face chicken salad sandwich, two different scones with toppings, a muffin type thing, mousse,Madeline, so much goodness we took leftovers home. Gluten free, dairy free available for a small charge. The service incredible the ambiance outstanding. We felt like royalty in the midst of God's home.

Everything about our visit was wonderful! The food was delicious (except for maybe the kale salad ... kale is a bit hard to eat raw). I especially loved the sandwiches and the chocolate orange tart. In fact, my friend and I loved the food so much that we went home and threw a tea party with a similar menu! The staff was very kind to my toddler, even taking us to the staff bathroom so we didn't have to wait in line. They also brought my daughter a little birthday treat, which she loved. And the castle itself is gorgeous! I would love to receive more context about the building during the tea party. Maybe a small pamphlet with its history or at least the history of the room? We didn't have the opportunity to take a tour.

When you first arrive, you check in at a gate guard station. The guard gives you a parking pass for the property. The castle was about a three minute drive into the property.Reservations are highly recommended. You are asked at the gate if you have a reservation as well as at the entrance of the tea rooms. There are two seating areas for tea. One room is very feminine and bright, and the other one has more of a dark, natural wood aesthetic. We were seated in the more feminine side (which I was hoping for). I would say the food was plentiful. We couldn't even finish everything. The selections could have been better. Some of the offerings could be considered too intricate for some palates, i.e. the gazpacho had a kick to it (which I enjoyed but my friend didn't like). One of the hors d'oeuvres had an indian curried potato on a wonton, which didn't compliment the other selections. I think another offering of a finger sandwich would be a better option. The presentation was great. The teas were good. I had the blue sapphire (black tea), and my friend had the Dragon 4 Flowers (sooo pretty). Both teas were great. Hot water refills were offered.I had a lovely time with my friend. The ambiance was beautiful. The castle was stunning.I can't wait to return in the future.
