I did not enter the museum - walked in, wasn't greeted. The 2 female employees did not even acknowledge me. I waited by the front counter to pay the admission, I know one lady saw me as she walked right past me. The other employee never even turned around. I walked around the shop, very cute souvenirs. I would have liked to see the museum. Oh well maybe they will hire more people.

We came here when I was little...maybe 1977? & I visited again & I loved it just as much. It's not very expensive to get in (under $10) & they have kid & senior discounts. The displays & video in the museum are educational & informative & valuable for anyone to see how much things have changed in a relatively short period of time. The kids were enjoying the shooting gallery, dancing to the player piano & panning for gold. The gift shop is fun on its own too. You can easily spend 1-1.5 hours here browsing the museum & gift shop & it's a great stop if you have multiple generations to entertain (kid & senior friendly).

Guys, this place is awesome if you like campy, weird tourist attractions which I most certainly do. We were killing time waiting for a shipment from Amazon to arrive at a locker at the nearby Ross Dress for Less (I forgot my bifocal sunglasses on vacation; horrors) and my husband had gone to this place as a literal child and suggested it. It was only $8.95 to get in which is about what it's worth. Lots of old-timey stuff, not necessarily Colorado, just Old West; player pianos and antique telephones and horse drawn carriages and the like. No ghosts. I asked because I didn't want any jump-scare stuff. There is a gift shop which of course you enter and exit through. There's a place to pan gold too but I'm not putting my hands in that water. Value high, fun for the price.

Loved it! It was weird and hokey and strangely accurate.Almost the entire thing was indoors so if it's too hot or too cold, you'll be fine.Check out their risque nickelodeons. Enjoy!

Okay so it's a bit corny. But on vacation you need some of these types of stops. It was fun that most items are interactive. Make sure to ask for your senior discount as it was not offered.

A surprise date here turned out better than suspected! Be sure to bring plenty of quarters, as there are vintage "censored peepshow" machines! If you're into history and vintage/antiques, you need to go here! I grew up in the West and I absolutely loved this museum. There are details EVERYWHERE! The gift shop is amazing too, plenty to choose from!

Cute place to bring my 9yr old daughter. We toured the museum and the gift shop in just over an hour total. It really does transport you back 100 yrs like it says. Reminds me how tough it was to live day by day. Bring quarters for the fun little games, player piano and such. Panned for gold, just a few flecks to find. Old home to view. The gift shop was fun and had lots of reasonably priced things to see. Overall, worth the admission price and some nice souvenirs.

If you have nothing to do for an hour and $20 to spare I guess it's some place to see. They actually have some cool old stuff but you can't get close enough to it to really see it. The gift shop is very large and full of some fun stuff. Didn't hate it, didn't love it.
