I've done three classes here now (onions, tamales and a Oktoberfest theme or maybe it was German? My memory fails me lol) and have had a blast each and every time. I absolutely love how we break up into groups, each group is responsible for cooking one dish, and at the end we all share the dishes and eat together. Courtney and David are absolute gems and have a wealth of knowledge they happily share with you. I can't recommend enough. The only thing is that the classes sell out so quick! There are a lot of repeat goers which is a great sign of course, but can be a bit intense when you want to get into a class. You can be put on a wait list and they send out emails when they have cancellations which is pretty awesome. Side note...the tamale class was my absolute favorite and a must do.

I've been having a ball taking classes at Gather! Dave and Courtney are terrific, as are the guest instructors. So far, I have learned to make macarons, learned about bivalves (mussels and clams), make vichychoisse in French Bistro class, and last night got the low-down on knife sharpening.Check their website for schedules, or just come into the shop! They have local honey, Sawatch butter and cheese, and a fabulous spice shop. Dave males and sells black garlic (check it out) and there's always something new and interesting for sale. It's a great place to find gifts for people who already have everything! They even have gift cards for their classes!#thankyouthursday2021

They will grind spice right in front of you. It's so good! This is a must! Cooking lessons in store and at home.... and fresh spices. It doesn't get any better.

Attended a Korean cooking class last night taught by Chef Dave. I can't begin to tell you how nice the evening was! Chef Dave is knowledgeable on every level and is a warm and entertaining host, as well. And, his recipes are the bomb! The classes fill up quickly here, but I think you will not be disappointed no matter which class you enroll in.

Cortney and Dave (owners) never fail to provide an entertaining and educational class! It's a small space so it feels very intimate and cozy. They are both very supportive and helpful. Almost all classes are hands on, so everyone participates, with their guidance if needed. After preparation, we all sit down to eat and discuss the recipes. It's all good fun!!

The experience, food, and host were amazing. Dave and Courtney were great teachers, friendly host, and made sure everyone came out with pho-nominal meal! ( Did a Pho cooking class). The quality of the food brought me back to Nha Trang, Vietnam, and what's crazier is the fact that I made it! If you're looking to learn how to cook like a pro, need a great date night, or just want to experience making a great meal for yourself, go for it! Will be a repeat customer for sure!

I had an absolutely amazing time at the sauce class I attended today! Chef Dave is super knowledgeable, and I learned a lot. Can't wait to come back. It was definitely worth the money. I would suggest coming with a friend, though. One lady got "stuck" with a very unfriendly man who didnt let her do much of anything at all. I luckily had a super kind and fun partner. Overall it was just a fabulous and super inspiring experience!!

The best thing about Chef Dave and Cortney is they don't just teach you how to make a recipe ... they teach you the techniques behind the recipe. For instance, I took two of their classes: light soups and pressure cooking. From those two classes I took three of the recipes and combined the techniques and ingredients (adapted to chicken), to come up with the best and healthiest chicken curry I've ever made. The recipes were a combination of sweet potato coconut curry, pressure cooker lamb gyros and quinoa & sweet potato chili. I added vegetables (having learned how to sauté and lightly cook them in a pressure cooker). I'm not just learning how to cook a recipe ... I'm learning how to cook!

This place is PHENOMENAL!! I've never been confident cooking and for that matter wasn't a very good cook Since taking classes from both Cortney, Dave (and guest instructors) I feel so much more at ease. Classes are small only 8 people meaning 2 people at each work station making one of the 4 recipes Afterwards you get to taste test each recipe where you all talk about what you liked, disliked and what you would change when you make your favorites at home I've met some great "NEW FRIENDS" in class. I've tried other cooking classes and felt not only left out but intimidated Not here they take their time getting to know you, explain every detail from prepping, understanding spices, the different ingredients as well as history lessons on food items Believe me it's always FUN taking a class here
