the front of a liquor store

Another review for this crappy business. They charge an extra dollar for chilled wine. The published price for the shelf wine is $1 less, until you get to the register then they charge the higher price. Oh, and they "don't know they were doing that" according to the co-owner. So, save money and go across County Line to Davidsons. I'm NEVER going back to Foxridge liquors!

It seems like in the past, patrons have had horrible experiences. Let me tell you - today it's a whole different store. I don't know if it's under new ownership or management or what... but the service is friendly, they remember your face, and they are always happy to help you find what you're looking for or make a suggestion. The selection is wide (with the exception of mezcal), and the prices are competitive. Definitely my go-to liquor store.

You know there's a ton of liquor stores around here. I think there's at least 4 that I also go to that are in a two mile radius of my house. I gotta say though that I keep coming here because they are dependable. They are ALWAYS open when all the others are closed. There selection is decent with a good amount of craft beers but mainly the standard liquors, domestic beers and wine. The two dudes I've always seen working have always been nice to me and the people I've brought there. Is it a huge liquor mart? No. It's actually quite small and packed with inventory. To me they seem like a no-bullshit type of business, straight to the point.Three stars for dependability but if they want more they need to be more than late hours and a overly stocked inventory.

They don't stay true to their closing time. I went prior to midnight (when they close) and the door was locked and the employee inside saw me but refused service. I would get fired for doing that at my work place.

Terrible service. I asked if they had a certain liquor in a smaller size. The cashier told me no. As I'm leaving with the larger bottle, I see that there is a tub full of the smaller bottles. I ask for a refund and he refuses. Then as I'm leaving, he has the nerve to come and accuse me of stealing the smaller bottle. Never returning

DONT BOTHER GOING. New owners don't know what they're doing. This has been my go-to store since living in the area and the new owners denied me alcohol and told me my ID was fake. Excuse me? I'm pretty damn sure I haven't needed a fake for years. That's fine - Davidson liquor is right across the street and CHEAPER. Good luck with these new owners.

Saw my out of state ID and decided to bend and tear it saying it was fake. Called the cops but they said they couldn't do anything about it. Don't fucking bother going if you have an out of state ID.

I feel petty for even writing a review on a liguor store. I've been to this liquor store a few times. Almost always there is a kid there who'd extremely nice. I asked him once if he always worked there and he said most nights he worked, Based on him I'm not suggesting that you shouldn't go there. Up until now I've always had a pleasant experience here. Tonight however...Wow. So I showed up to buy a cheap jug of wine. Jug of wine may not be classy but hey. 12.48 an hour and a penchant for wine means you can make an exception now and then. My go to place Willow Creek Wine and Spirits, I mistakenly thought was closed at 10 pm. it was 10:20 ish. I headed down and purchased a jug of wine and a pack of smokes. I paid around 19.00 for the two and without asking the clerk/ possible owner bagged it up. I don't normally ask for a bag since I feel like two items is not environmentally conscious. The clerk/ owner was pleasant and bagged my things up and I left. As I was walking up to my aparment I noticed that I only felt the bottle of wine in the bag. When I got inside I checked and found only the jug of wine. I went to my car and found no pack of smokes inside. I went back to the liquor store telling him that I didn't get my cigarettes. He proceeded to tell me he wouldn't scan them and put them back and that I must have lost them. Keep in mind that the paper sack that stayed upright in my floorboard never fell over and that I'd already check to see if somehow they'd fallen out. I told him they weren't in the bag and asked him to review the tape at this point fairly polite. He refused. Frusterated that I paid 19 plus dollars for a 13 plus dollar jug of cheap wine I admit I did asked to pay for another "f-ing pack of cigarettes" He replied that people tried to scam him frequently and also threatened to call the cops for me disturbing the peace. I apologized left rather angrily to search for my reciept. I found it and went back in. He told me it did me no good. I'lll admit I don't do well in confrontational situations and I was HIGHLY frusterated. I started to tear up a bit. He told me I could "cry to my mom" and to leave his store. Still frusterated that I paid for tsomething I did not get we argued back and forth a bit. Eventually I left, so upset that I cried the whole way home which I'm not proud to admit. It's a pack of smokes. Not worth it. I bought another pack elsewhere and entered my apartment still crying. Incensed my boyfriend called and was informed by clerk/owner that I was a lair and that he was reviewing the tapes he refused to review when I asked him. The first time he called he said this. The second time my boyfriend called to ask when he opened so he could review the tapes he aparently called me a "fag" and that he had one chance to call police/review the tapes with him tonight/call the police. Strange that he would refuse to review the tapes with me but tell us we had one night to report to police. I have no intention of reporting to police but interesting that he thinks that he can put a limit on that time frame. Maybe he knows something about the law that I don't? regardless I am not and I repeat not opposed to the idea that SOMEHOW maybe the pack jumped out of the bag SOMEHOW...... Still no way to treat someone. I am still in shock. I know a liquor store is a liquor store and no one is likely to heed this review especially since they are open late. For me I will go without. I have money in my bank account and Offered to pay again when he refused to believe somehow I didn't receive the pack. He will loose more money on myself and my friends never coming here again than he would on reviewing tapes to find charges valid or correcting a mistake.I am dreadfully honest to my own detriment and look at checks to find charges missed. I have reentered stores that undercharged me to alert them MULTIPLE times and pay the remaining and offered to pay AGAIN for another pack of smokes. I apologized for swearing and attempted to resolve the issue by paying twice and went with my boyfriend to check my car for a pack that may have fallen out. There was nothing. I will NEVER go back again simply for the degrading way I was treated and will continuously let people know the experience I have had at this location. I don't believe I have ever been called a f*g before in my life. What a despicable man.EVEN if somehow the cigarettes were lost in an explainable manner I really wish to invite this man to explain his horrible treatment including verbarge used to describe me (which I consider slurs) The only thing I can think of is if he is right and the pack was lost SOMEHOW but I would not scam a man for 5.00 whe I have the money in my account. I wouldn't scam anyone. I checked my car and presented a reciept. We argued but that does not condone his behavior. Willow Creek is BETTER. Hopefully they are open when you go to purchase liquor as thier prices are lower and they are much more kind.
