Without a doubt the best catering service in Castle Rock ... and recognised as such by many of Castle ROCK'S residents and organizations. I have been to food fairs, fair and rodeo venues, Douglas County event center activities, street events (Oktoberfest, Starlighting, etc.) and Flying Horse represents itself in a highest quality manner. I can very honestly say nothing that they prepare in their catering is anything less than outstanding. We've been buying local meals for our employees, company-wide in recent weeks, because supporting local businesses is one of the best things you can do! We ordered box lunches from Flying Horse Catering, and they were so eager to take our order for 20! Perfect for a grab-and go, social-distancing work lunch - ham, beef and turkey sandwiches like mom would make - I highly recommend Flying Horse Catering for local, larger-party lunches! They were terrific!

They do a weekly event that I attend. Food is always good with excellent service.

Catered my wedding, the quality of the food and service was superb. One guest shared with me that it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding - one of the best compliments you could receive for your wedding reception (apart from how beautiful the bride was ;))!

Debbie and Flying Horse catered our Golden Wedding Anniversary party with about 50 people in attendance. We had the chicken marsala, pot roast, mashed potatoes, chef's veg. selection, stuffed mushrooms, and meatballs in green chili, and salad. All of the food was amazing, and the guests loved every dish, especially the meatballs and pot roast. I can't say enough about how timely and well the food was set up, with clear instructions about the food in the 'hot box' to refill, and what to do for collection of serving items the next morning. We have absolutely no regrets about using Flying Horse Catering, and thoroughly recommend them.

Excellent Service - Debby the owner was Fabulous to work with.It was my husbands 60th Birthday Celebration and wanted a Caterer for his Companies Luncheon ! Debby was wonderful to work with and the menu was Delicious ! Everyone raved about the meal and it was Hot. She even called me 10- minutes before the celebration to tell me everything was set-up at the time we specified--I plan to use them for my next celebration and highly recommend this caterer !Thank you so much -

Jim the owner is a great guy to work with. Their prices are very reasonable and the food, just terrific. We had the burrito bar and their pulled pork was some of the best our group has ever had.Generous portions and everything is taken care of ...even matches to light the sterno cans!

I hired Flying Horse to cater my husbands Birthday celebration last weekend. We were thrilled with the service and servers, food was delicious and I was able to enjoy the evening. The entire experience was wonderful!

I had a small wedding event for my daughter catered in my home. I worked with Debbie Dalla at Flying Horse Catering who assured me that they only used fresh ingredients, made from scratch by their professional chef. Their web site states, "excellent food" and " very best upscale dinners". Debbie made sure I was aware of not letting the food sit out and to serve it right away as it is not safe in disposable containers and could cause food poisoning. I was prepared to serve the food at exactly 5pm when it was supposed to be delivered. They showed up at 4:09 and most of the guests were not here, so fearing what Debbie said, I told them to take the food back and deliver it fresh at 5 as promised. That same food had been sitting in those disposable containers for at least 11/2 hours before I received it and it was obvious! I ordered the following:1-Roasted sliced seasoned tri-tip with sautéed mushrooms, peppers and onions in a red wine demi. My opinion- there were no mushrooms, peppers, onions or red wine sauce. It was plain gravy only and no vegetables visible anywhere. The meat was extremely over cooked, med/well to very well done, very tough and stringy, hard to chew and eat, and had no flavor. 2-Herb Roasted chicken breast with fresh herb in white wine sauce. My opinion- it was good moist chicken with flavor but nothing special.3- Traditional mixed green salad with lettuce, shaved radish, sliced cucumber, grape tomatoes, grated carrots, sliced red onion, buttermilk ranch dressing and house-made vinaigrette. My opinion- This was a joke! It was nothing but mixed green lettuce with a minute amount of garnish in a narrow line on top. The dressings were good. 4- garlic mashed potatoes. Debbie assured me they were light and fluffy and made from real potatoes. my opinion- they were disgusting watery, powered potatoes with too much water added. One guest said "these taste just like KFC's fake potatoes. Others laughed and sadly agreed.5-Chef's vegetables tossed in a buttery white wine sauce. I asked Debbie what kind they would be and she said it is usually a nice, in season, vegetable medley sautéed in a buttery wine sauce. It was vegetables plural on the web site and written contract and her description all implied more than one vegetable. My opinion- it was extremely undercooked, very stringy green beans only (no other vegetable) with absolutely no flavor and no sauce. 6-Fresh House- baked rolls and butter. My opinion- only fair, cold, smelled like doe, only fair7- Gravy. My opinion- only fair.None of the food was as promised by Debbie and nothing like what was advertised on their web site or written in my contract with them. It was extremely overpriced for what they delivered. I would have been happy to pay the price with 5 stars if the food had been the top quality they said it would be. No part of the food was "excellent", "very best'', or "upscale". I was embarrassed by the quality and taste of the food. No one from Flying Horse has ever reached out or contacted me!Lisa Gatschet
