This is my favorite little bar in the trees on Copper mountain. Ski in ski out! Great for hot drinks, a warm up and good company on the mountain. Try it you'll love it!

My kids and I went to Copper two years ago in March. Whenever we see or talk about waffles, we think of this place. We compare all waffles to these. It was a religious experience.

My friends and I were skiing at Copper for a few days. One of my friends said the belgian waffles were incredible. So we stopped by one of the days in the afternoon and unfortunately they had run out of waffles. The guy told us they only served about 3 dozen waffles every day. Anyway, he was super nice and apologetic about it and he even gave my buddy a discount on a drink. We came back the next morning as soon as they opened and we got waffles.My. God.Those were some of the best waffles I have ever had. Definitely worth the hype. The guy behind the bar was also playing some awesome music. I wish I could eat here every morning.

Delicious waffles with just the right amount of sugar crystals mixed into the batter and freshly made burgers with great beer selections and an outside bar that make this a go to if you need a quick bite at Copper

I was riding the freshies at Copper last weekend and decided it would be a good time for drink and a snack. My friends and I were on the east side of the mountain and had heard that Flyer's could make a mean bowl of soup or chili and that they had warm alcoholic drinks. We snowboarded up to the shack which is located a few hundred yards down the hill from the top of American Flyer lift. They have an inside bar, an outside bar and outdoor seating. We saddled up to the old log bar on our log chairs and ordered drinks. I had seen a previous post that referred to the "George Special" which is not on the menu (at least anymore) and George was not there - whoever he is. But Steve, the Irish guy from Boston, was there and pouring a stiff drink at a reasonable price. So Steve, attempted to make the George Special (coffee, hot chocolate, whiskey, baileys, whip cream with Kahlua drizzled on top). I came to realize a few things: 1. the hot chocolate was powder in a pouch & 2. there is no whipped cream or Kahlua drizzle.I looked over the menu and realized, sadly, that there was nothing I could eat. The ever gracious Steve offered to make me a grilled cheese sandwich on a hamburger bun. So that is what I had. My friends ordered cheeseburgers - which they loved. All in all, I would drink at Flyers again (being a vegetarian and all) but my friends would happily eat and drink at Flyers again.

Fun local's grungy place. But that is it's charm.Cheapest beer on the mountain. It can be tight inside not much seating. Not a place for kids, this is more of a bar than a restaurant. No bathrooms.Been there many times, never disappoints.

Not sure how I missed this place on all of my previous visits to Copper, but it's such a fun little warming hut up on the mountain! I thought it was just a bar, and assumed I was smelling hot cocoa when we rode over it on the American Flyer lift, but the delicious smells wafting up were actually from waffles being cooked! You can also get hot dogs, a few other snacks and food items and all sorts of beers and cocktails cold and hot. We sat outside on a sunny afternoon and shared some amazing bloody marys but you can also sit inside and warm up at a very tiny bar (no bathroom). We loved the friendly guy serving us and his tunes!

I was there on Sunday (1/19/14) and stopped in for a glass of water around 3pm. The bartender gave me the dirtiest look ever and said they weren't supposed to "do that." What, you don't let someone have free water?Look, I know that having people come steal your water is not anyone's favorite thing ever, especially when it is a slow day and you need tips, but give me a break. You're in the middle of a mountain, I think you should expect that some people are going to want to come in for a little hydration now and then. The ironic thing is that at the bottom of the mountain there were all these pamphlets about the importance of staying hydrated. Maybe Copper should share those with the staff.

This place doesn't exist. I walked around the whole town trying to find it. It wasn't there.
