Five Below

Now open in Southlands, five below is a definite teen themed discount store. Try the dollar store first as many similar items are available here but at a higher price.They have arts and crafts, games and cheap tech gear, along with cute options for decorating a dorm room. Snack, jewelry and make-up can also be purchased here. I did find a couple of first aid items i could use but that is about it. Bring your tween teen here as I'm sure they will enjoy the shopping experience!

So this is pretty much a higher-end dollar store. Almost everything there is $5 or less (there are sometimes a few exceptions). Personally, I like it a lot more than the dollar store and I think the items are of higher quality. They have candy, games, crafts, electronics, home stuff, clothing, exercise stuff, and a host of other things. Best part is that my kids love it. Great place to go for an affordable "treat" for them. Awesome for putting together gift bags/baskets too. Got most of my neighborhood/teacher/etc. holiday stuff there this year.

I would normally give a 5 star review as I enjoy this store. It is very clean, great products, and they switch the selection. My issue is, the staff is very friendly, but I do not appreciate having an employee follow me as I am browsing the aisles. Every corner I turned he would be a few steps behind me. Ummmmm, very uncomfortable and rude. Go follow someone else who is probably stealing, not me, a customer who is looking for gift ideas. Unbelievable and if it ever happens again, I'll call corporate and won't return.

Five below is notorious for treating everyone as if they are a class a criminal however they got a little out of hand when I was in the store completely alone and was followed around by two staff numbers. I bought all the three things and felt extremely rushed and around every corner they popped up asking if they could help me or if I was finding everything all right what I answer 27 times prior, then I get to check out and The workers are so close I can tell you what they had for lunch offering to sell me a reusable bag to which I decline 18 times, they continue to try to sell me this bag until I'm finished checking out and the moment I scan my last item they say OK well thanks for shopping anyway and walk away as if I was going to steal the five dollar book I had in my hand. This happens every single time but today was on a whole Nother level especially given the fact that I was the only person in the store. Can't you guys get cameras or a security guard if you are that worried about people stealing? You don't have to harass and accost customers
