First Stitches Sewing Store & Quilt Shop

I love going to different fabric stores and seeing what they have and finding some new fun fabric. The store is hidden down by the parking for the train to the royal gorge. When I first walked into the shop it was inviting and full of fabric. I quickly felt very out of place as I was not a regular and everyone else was.

I've never created a quilt in my life, however after taking the Beginners Quilt Class taught by Cyndi McChesney, I was able to build upon my experience and imagination and create a plethora of unique, personal creations to gift to family and friends. This is the first with a backdrop of the Arkansas River in Canon City, Colorado.

Excellent customer service and lots of resources for learning how to!! Can't be the variety in the store!!

Kim and Randy are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of machines and notions. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I bought my Baby Lock from Kim & Randy - great folks to work with. Love the online classes they have now because of Covid. Took the online clothesline/rope and the mask classes. I buy my material & supplies from First Stitches online - orders shipped complete and promptly. Owners & staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

Staff is very friendly. Owners lie and treat you unjustly. They care more about cheating you out of a buck than they do about customer service. I would suggest anyone considering purchasing a machine or having one repaired here, first read the complaints filed with BBB. You will not be treated kindly if you have an issue with them And it will be a battle to reach a resolution.
