Love this place! Such friendly people and lots of great food, candies, and unique items from Europe , concentrating mainly from Ukraine and Poland. Give it a try! They have fish, borscht, pierogi . A lot of the yummie bread and pierogi they make in house.

I am so glad that I discovered this little deli/bakery/grocery store. They bake fresh wholesome old world style european bread daily, a nice variety, German bread, black bread, who grain, sourdough etc. all organic. They also have fresh deli meats, sausages and cheese, fish, salads and so many other products. 5 stars YAY!!*****

This is a great mom and pop European market. It is very clean, and there is an abundance of amazing European food and sweets to choose from. The prices are a bit higher, but you cannot find anything like this nearby. They have a great selection of pierogies and a very nice deli. They have a large selection of canned smoked fish and sauerkraut and other canned foods and condiments. The kielbasa is excellent as well! It's the real deal. I love the service. They have always been helpful and they are very gracious.

Great selection of all my Russian favorites. I had a Shuba emergency and needed herring. We arrived with 5 mins before closing and the lady working was so kind and helpful.

So it's time to update my review. I came back to explore and found out they carried caviar. They have the salmon and sturgeon varieties. I prefer the sturgeon and I bought a 50 grams container for 45 dollars. It was delicious and not too salty. Great on toasted brioche from Trader Joe's. Good price for Colorado Springs.

I was so excited to stumble upon this place last night! I couldn't believe how many interesting food items they had for sale from places like Turkey, Russia, Poland, and England! As I perused the grocery shelves, the thought crossed my mind that it must be difficult for the owner to keep the inventory moving in a timely manner. However, there were a handful of customers at the counter when I arrived and a few trickled in and out while I was there, so I didn't give the inventory mechanics a second thought. When I found the refrigerated section in the back of the store, my mind raced with possibility! I could make a great book club dinner out of these items! I could easily introduce my kids to new foods from distant places! This and that over there would make for a fun date night! So when I saw the Ziploc bags of mini pierogies in cheese, potato, and cabbage-filled crescents of homemade dough for $0.99/bag (that's what the sign said - I studied it for a while, trying to decide if I was missing something), I immediately snapped up two bags. I should have asked about the price, but I didn't. This is where things went South. I paid for everything, and left the store. When I looked at my receipt this morning, the two bags of little pierogies cost me $22.85! Disappointed and a bit angry over the pierogies expense, I decided to look at the Yelp reviews to see if anyone else had had a similar experience. I should have done this last night before I even entered the market. I learned that people had had problems with the expiration dates on the food items they purchased there. So I began to examine everything I bought. Indeed, to my dismay, there were/are signs of expired, old food in my stash of purchases. I'm attaching pictures of the bread I tried to slice through a few moments ago with a sharp knife. I had such a hard time getting the knife through the bread because it was so dry (with the exception of one end of the bread which was visibly damp and moist to the touch). It took both hands pressing down on the knife, rocking it back and forth, to liberate one slice. It squeaked as I cut. I had hoped to enjoy this bread with the Swiss cheese and bologna I also purchased at the store. The bread isn't just slightly dry, it's inedible. When the cashier, Svetlana, handed me a candy bar for free when I left the store, I was surprised by her thoughtful gesture. However, this morning when I looked at the expiration date on the candy bar, it appears to have expired back in October of last year. Haha! I guess that was a no-brainer freebie.I tasted the bologna I bought and it is really good. There's no way for me to know it's expiration date; I'll just have to trust that I have a few days to safely eat it. LOLIn my opinion, I don't think people have to worry too much about certain packaged foods that have expired by a few months, but if this is a consistent issue at this market, how can a customer be sure the food they're purchasing, in general, is safe and, less importantly, tasty? Selling expired and deceptively priced food is not good business for a small business. Given the other reviews and given the blindside of the pierogi expense and the brick of bread I just managed to cut through. I won't be a repeat customer for this local business.
