Ent Center for the Arts

Fortunate for me and a friend, we got to see The Half Life of Marie Curie before it sold out and the show ended. Leslie O'Carroll was amazing in it! Her voice carried throughout the theatre so it was easy to hear her and understand what she was saying. She carried the show. Her Chara was exciting and Leslie carried it with energy. I would love to see any other work she does in future productions.

It starts with the parking. It is free and there appears to be plenty of it. My wife-unit has a handicapped hanger which we do not abuse--it she isn't in the car it is not used and it is put away when we are not actually parked. I never could understand how people can safely operate a vehicle with stuff hanging from the rear view. So the parking might not be as good for the general public, but it appears to be.Very beautiful building on the outside and distinctive. The inside is slathered with different ways of thanking patrons but in a much more creative way than most "names on brass plaques" that most places use. There is a delightful lack of uniformity and a bit of neon thrown in.Seats seemed comfortable enough for me, and they are typically not elsewhere, with adequate spacing.The audio seemed good, although at the event I was at bird calls were being played as part of the ambiance, which was fine until the microphones were used to make announcements and the bird stuff should have been severely muted and not left at the ambiance level. Made it hard on us with hearing aids. This is more a criticism of the program and techs than the facility.The house lights were behind panels on both sides which probably keeps them from blinding those on stage, but was a little harsh on audience members sitting on the extreme right or left sides. I'd try and sit more in the center if given the choice.I'm probably going to try to get to more events here as opposed to downtown at Pikes Peak Center just because of the ease of parking and lack of meters.And, Mrs. Lincoln, other than that the show was fine.

Poorly designed event center. Seats are too close together and whenever you are sitting down and a person has to walk by you to get to their seat, you have to stand up. Half the time your feet get stepped on. Also parking lot poorly designed. Only one exit to Nevada Blvd and with pedestrians crossings stopping the traffic with the right of way, it takes longer to leave. They should have put bridges over the street pedestrian crossings as to not impede the flow of traffic. The acoustics are advertised as being better than the pikes peak center. I can't tell the difference.

Went to the Ent Center for the Arts to see the Colorado Springs Chorale "Crossings" performance. Had a good time! It was a spectacular performance. The venue was also very nice!

This is a beautiful venue for the arts. This time I attended a Philharmonic performance "Max and Mozart" featuring Maximillian Hornung, the cellist and conductor for the evening. The music was great! The seating remains difficult for me, as the seats are way too close to the ones in front of you and you must stand up to let people by. Because of the cup holders, you get stepped on anyway. I still enjoyed the event.

I went to see a play here with my fiance, who is a UCCS alum. The center is absolutely beautifully built! It has some very gorgeous views of the mountains/Pikes Peak via the lobby. There are rooms throughout the building, probably to be used for art/classes/practices, etc. There's several small theater venues, and the play we saw was in the Dusty Loo. We sat upstairs, in the balcony area, and we had an excellent view of the entire stage - though to be fair, you'd have an excellent view anywhere you sat in the small theater. It was a very cool space, and I had a great time. There's art hung up all over the place, so if you ever have the chance to check it out definitely do so! There is also a parking lot with plenty of space. Very cool place! I'm glad UCCS has such a great Art Center for their students and teachers!

Very poor accessibility, theater seats not bolted to floor the ADA needs to check on this and the City should be looking at the safety. Different theater but feels cold and unwelcoming. First time here and probably last. But come check it out for yourself, just not my cup of tea.

Very nice to have another center for the performing arts in Colorado Springs! Enjoyed a great performance last night in the main auditorium and admired the spaciousness and modern look.

We visited this venue for the first time to see a performance of The Nutcracker. The performance was great (what we could see of it), and the venue is very modern and nice. But the theater is poorly designed and the seating extremely uncomfortable ... the seats are small, poorly padded, and so close together that you can't move once you sit down. The row in front of us was so close that our knees were in the back of the seat and we couldn't see past the patrons heads in front of us, we never could see the entire stage or performance.Our tickets also stated that we would have access to view the Gallery of Contemporary Art. It was closed.
