I made a novice tourist mistake when I was in Denver. It was a Monday and I wanted to visit the Denver Art Museum. I got there and it was closed. Bummer!Reminder to myself: check the hours of operation of whatever touristy place I want to visit. I have been pretty good at it since!Luckily, there were plenty of places around for me to discover. One of them was walking into Englewood Public Library. When you first walk in, you kind of feel like you're in a museum. There was the Cherrelyn horse train. The Cherrelyn was really a streetcar. A horse was used to help the motors go up a steep hill. When the train was going down it, the horse would hop in the train. All of this happened in Littleton, CO, where I was staying. I thought that it was a cool tie-in.This library is large and inviting. I wasn't expecting to spend some time investigating it, but I loved my time here. First, it had air conditioning. It was pretty hot during my July 2014 visit. Second, it's fairly quiet. I read a few magazines and enjoyed being so comfortable in my chair. There is an amazing collection of books to borrow. I also liked the multimedia section. I wished that I lived in Denver. I would be wearing out my library card.If I ever have a chance to spend a couple of hours reading and relaxing in Denver, I'd come back here.(228)

Libraries make me proud of this country. They have a lot of really interesting stuff here and the librarians are kind and helpful. Love using my Kanopy and Libby apps, thank you for what you do!

I've been coming here for a while now. I have to say, can't it open earlier? 10 seems so late for a library to open.. besides that there are A TON of homeless people there. When I use the computers they are talking loud, coughing all over, and eating by them. I have nothing against these people, it's just really inconsiderate and rude. Then they leave food all over the place. There should be restrictions. I sat there and watched the security guard just staring at these people, like dude.. tell them to shut up and stop eating or get the fuck out. Looking for a different library.

We were visiting from out of state, and needed computer use and copies made. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular here.

I've been here quite a few times already, and can only give a review of the Children's Library section. It's fairly easy to find books here. Love that the books for the younger kids are in sections by subject and easy for kids to grab and see. The chapter books and readers are organized and easy to find. Also, the DVDs for kids are a pretty good selection considering that this is a smaller library compared to the Downtown Denver Library. There are a few computers for the kids to use and nice spots to sit and read books or play with puzzles. Definitely a great community Children's Library!

I must admit, I am a sucker for a good book. That being said, I love libraries. I love wondering around surrounded by books, nerdy I know! The Englewood Library was a pleasant surprise. It is right by the light rail stop and the Art bus. They have top selling books on self and the staff are so nice and helpful. I had quite a few questions because I recently moved to Englewood and they were great!! They have wifi and they have computers! Even better, they have Dvds! I will become a regular to this library very soon! If they allowed dogs, then they would have gotten 5 stars :)

This is an inviting environment like most of the city wide libraries, but what makes it exceptional is an outstanding staff that fall all over themselves to help the patron get their needs met.

My daughter Karly and I love Friday mornings in the park with Ms. Kimberly! She's so engaging and picks the best books and songs to sing. She has a wonderful positive attitude and she is amazing!

I have been going to this library for about 16 years, as long as I've lived here. I frequently use the underground parking area. Have never been "creeped out". The inside of the library is clean; the staff is always helpful; and, the restrooms are always clean. I have never seen anyone bathing in the restroom; nor have I witnessed people laid-out on the furniture; eating at the computer desks or anywhere else in the library.I've also heard the same complaints about one of the grocery stores located in the area. I do see a great many people who are desperate for a few minutes of space inside of a building. Perhaps addressing the increasing homeless situation, inclusive of the "working poor", might be more helpful. Perhaps empathy and compassion would be helpful. Check your "new" library for reading resources. To those who are caught-up in their own entitlement; yes, please, go elsewhere. I don't believe your business will be missed!
