I love this place! I will never stay anywhere else when visiting the Evergreen Area! The proprietors Lucy (Terrier/Whippet mutt) and Zoey (Great Dane) and their human servants John & Michelle are amazing! Breakfast was great each morning, the robes are super comfy, and they even sent the dogs downstairs ahead of time so I could get my puppy cuddle fix each morning! The B&B is located just far enough away from Evergreen proper to feel like you are out in the high country but it's only 10 minutes drive! There is plenty of road and mountain biking as well as hiking trails nearby, so bring your toys!I really can't recommend this place enough, after five days of camping on a road trip, Elk Run was the perfect way to unwind, catch up, and relax!

We enjoyed every single moment we spent at Elk Run Bed and Breakfast. The place is warm and welcoming, and Michelle and John are awesome hosts! We felt like personal guests in their home, and at the same time our privacy was well respected. Michelle's yummy breakfasts are impossible to forget! Next time we visit the Denver area, we know exactly where we are going to stay!

My wife and I recently stayed here for three nights. John was very professional over the phone when I made the reservation, the price was right, and the location seemed convenient. But given that it's basically two rooms in a private home, I didn't expect much more than a place to sleep and maybe breakfast. As soon as we checked in we realized there would be much more. Yes, it's a fairly modest house - don't come here if you expect a charming Victorian inn or a masterpiece of modern architecture. But the lodging area (bedrooms, bathroom, common area with kitchen) is all newly remodeled and spotlessly clean. The bed - mattress and pillows, were perhaps the most comfortable we've ever experienced. Michelle, John's wife, was a wonderful hostess ... outgoing, friendly, and helpful, but knew when to leave us alone. We were heading out that evening, and she offered us snacks, water, and raingear, and asked us what we wanted for breakfast. Each subsequent evening, she asked again, and we got a fresh-cooked and very hearty hot meal served the next morning. There's a comfortable common area, coffee and tea, fruit available at any time. Our room had a private outside entrance but the bathroom was across the hall; but it was only used by us so that wasn't a problem. Michelle is an avid road bicyclist, and the local bike shop provided us with great rentals (MTB) and trail advice ... I would highly recommend staying here if you'd like to experience Front Range riding or other outdoor activities. Or, just hang out by the creek and watch the squirrels or elk.
