My girls have been dancing at Summit since they were 3 years old. They are now 7 and 11 and both are on the competitive team. They absolutely love the studio and the kids that dance there. Such a great place to spend their free time surrounded by amazing role models in the teachers, staff and older kids. We love summit (now Elevation Dance Academy) and the new owner Alyssa Marks! She is building a dance studio but also a dance family! I highly recommend this studio.

So far I have really enjoyed taking my 2 year old daughter to summit dance works. All the staff is so friendly and you can tell the teachers love their jobs and the kids they work with. The parent and me class is a great starting point for dance. I love how it gets the kids moving, working on listening skills and even some dance moves and lingo. I hope to be taking my daughter here for a long time.

I wish I could give a zero star rating. I flew out from California to be here for my granddaughter's final dance recital. She was in two dances and had the costumes and knew her parts well. However, because my granddaughter is changing dance studios next year the management of Summit Dance Studio refused to let her dance in the recital! The month of May was already paid for and yet my poor granddaughter has been informed that she can not perform.

My daughter has been at Summit for over a year now. She has made wonderful friends, loves all her teachers, and has grown so much as a dancer! She looks forward to dancing every day! My son took the boy's hip hop class last year and liked it so much that he expanded his classes this year and is also there every day. The teachers at Summit really invest their hearts into each student who walks through the door and helps them be the very best dancers and kids that they can be. Beyond the pliés and cramp rolls, my kids have learned how to be part of a team, the importance of commitment and to work hard every day. I love knowing that they have a place to go where they can be active, are surrounded by positive role models, and have so much fun! Summit is more than just great dancing... We are a family.

Well where do I begin? This place is appalling in my opinion. I took my 6 year old daughter here and on her FIRST ever ballet lesson she was treated so very poorly by the teacher. After the lesson the teacher proceeded to take her hand and bring her directly to me. When I asked how she did the teacher replied "Alright I guess". The teacher seemed annoyed. When I walked up to the reception desk to receive the refund of the enrollment fee like I was promised and to schedule her next lesson I saw the teacher there speaking with the lady working. She then proceeded to ask me, in front of my daughter "Does SHE have a disability!?" I responded well, yes she is blind in her left eye but this has NEVER been a problem in gymnastics nor her schooling. The teacher says "Ok, ok, I wish someone had told me". Very disgusting and unprofessional. Apparently this company doesn't know how to treat children. Needless to say I've been asking for a refund for months now and was lied to saying it was send to my house. NEVER recommending this place to anyone.

My daughter started her first class here at the age of four. The owner was her first apprentice. 13 years later we are preparing for my daughters graduating year. She has had the opportunity to train and dance with numerous choreographers, has been accepted to every intensive from contemporary, to tap, to ballet. All because she wanted to wear a tutu. She had a well rounded dance education. She could have stayed recreational and the studio has a huge rec program or join the team and focus on this talent. In both groups, they develop friendships and family. She has been raised to be a leader, work hard and reach for goals. The staff is caring and take a personal interest in her as a person. The studio is a beautiful facility with lots of different classes, times, abilities and commitments. Truly the best decision was choosing this studio.

Sadly disappointed in this Studio. Their Contract is structured to force your child into a year long commitment, no matter what. If your child is injured, doesn't like the Studio, decides they want to pursue other interests, whatever, you are charged thousands and thousands of dollars. After discussing the situation with the owner of the Studio, our fees were reduced by half, to a "mere" $3400. Just seems ridiculous to me. The owner claims that that is the amount they prepaid in fees, costumes, and teachers, but also readily admitted that my daughters' spot will be filled by another student, who will pay the same fees! My daughter also told me that the costumes ordered for the Christmas show were literally ordered a few weeks ago, so obviously the future shows haven't been provided for, yet. The numbers haven't even been picked yet! In addition to this problem, the difficulty in communication between the teachers and the students has been epic, and has led to horrible frustration in my child and myself, and resulted in her missing trainings and classes fairly frequently, as the schedule changes weekly. The students are expected to learn material from videos, which doesn't work well, and if you need any extra support, it's $140 an hour, on top of being horribly expensive in the first place. I am hugely disappointed in the Studio, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This school is constantly disorganized and in disarray in their planning of practices and events as well as they cannot seem to keep their books straight as well and incorrectly charged my account on severely occasions not to mention the bait and switch tactic where they tell you that the monthly bill you pay will cover everything but then they hit you choreographers fees which is ridiculous since I am already paying them to teach my child choreography, then costume fees then make up fees fee fees and so on frankly I would recommend one of the other dance schools in the Springs.
