I will admit I was a little bit worried about this campsite because of the reviews complaining about noise and privacy. But I booked it anyway because it was right across the street from the white water rafting company we booked a trip with. It was honestly much better than I was expecting. It was a lovely, clean campsite with a really nice bathhouse with bathrooms, showers and laundry. Definitely not a wilderness camping experience but great for families. We booked campsite #1 and we felt like it was a really great spot. One of the bigger ones for sure. The cons were the bathrooms being REALLY far away (we drove up to them most of the time) yet definitely not enough privacy to "go" outside. There was a helicopter across the street and bar with live music but we couldn't really hear either at night where our camp was so it didn't bother us. PS the food at the bar and grill is AMAZING.One thing to keep in mind is that there are very few trees or shade and temperatures were in the high 90's early 100's this past weekend so it was a little brutal. But overall we had a great time and I thought it was a really nice commercial campground. The kids had a blast. The glamping tents looked awesome. However minus one star for Amanda at the front desk who was incredibly, openly rude and nasty to my husband for NO reason (he is the nicest person ever). He is rarely ever bothered by rudeness and it really put him (and so, us) in a bad head space on arrival. She needs some serious customer service re-training. HOWEVER, all the other staff members we encountered were wonderful and made up for her foulness.

This place is fantastic. It deserves 3.75 stars. The service, amenities, view and cleanliness are outstanding. The toilets are clean, 2 stalls in each men's and women's bathrooms and sink with soap and warm water. Showers are split up the same way and connects to a laundry facility. All very clean. You can take 5 min warm showers and the tent came with a nice set of towels, wash cloths, soaps, lotion and a bag of ice. I traded the ice for credit to the fire wood since it was SO cold. It was a decent 63 during the day and 44 at night. The cons? The camp sites are SUPER close together so it forced interaction with other people 10 feet away. I wanted more privacy and isolation as did others around me, so that was awkward. Also, it's noisy. It's across the street from the helicopter tours AND the highway. There was pretty much traffic noise the entire time and also campers coming and going at all hours shining headlights into the tent and being loud. I was woken up a bunch and it was hard to sleep. I can tell that the shed with bed is quieter and probably warmer. The multi floor condos look nice too but again really close together. I think if you set your expectations before you get here you can have a nice time. They need to put in some tall plants between the units or something to break it up and add privacy.

We had a great experience from yhe beginning. Reservations were super easy to make and when we got there the check in process was extremely easy and smooth. The tent site we were at had a beautiful view of the Royal Gorge bridge and the surrounding mountains. The amenities were exceptional for a campground. Would definitely recommend!

The location (other than the helicopters) is the perfect location for attractions and close to the Royal Gorge. It's across the street from zip line tours, white water rafting, and restaurants. It has full hookups which is super nice. Quiet area and staff is friendly. It was approximately $46 per night including taxes I believe so as a stopping point or good location for the weekend if you plan on doing some local activities. We stayed the 4th of July weekend and it was still nice and quiet. The restaurant on the right is very nice and has a fantastic patio. There is a rock shop about 100 ft away if that and has great deals! It is a good RV park. :) There is also ice for sale and firewood for fires at your site. Bathrooms with showers as well.

What an amazing little cabin! I loved everything about it except there was no toaster oven or oven. So It was hard to cook. But the view was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make my sisters bachelorette party amazing! I will definitely be back to stay in the corner pocket and I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends! Well done echo!

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They were able to get our group on sites next to each other at the very last minute. The sites are level and clean. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and well kept. Just stayed one night but if we're in the area again, I would stay here.

We had a luxury cabin and rafting trip booked. We are traveling in our RV with 4 small children and arrived at Echo Canyon Campground a couple hours early hoping for an early check in. When walking in to the office to ask if we could possiblycheck in early we were approached with a very aggressive rude attitude that can't even be described in text. When asked if we could speak with a manager she stood up from her desk and said "if you don't like it, you can leave" so that's what we did, and had to demand a full refund. It wasn't even the point that we couldn't check in early but the how extremely rude and insulting the staff was behaving. While the website and photos of the property are very appealing the "customer service" was absolutely horrible. Book at your own risk.

My daughter wanted to go camping for her 22nd birthday but I didn't feel like packing all camping gear for an overnight stay so I thought I would treat us to our first glamping experience and I am so glad I did! We came in after 6pm and the key was in the lock box and extremely easy to get to IF you have a code which was provided by Amanda in an email (thank you Amanda, you rock!) We entered the tent and my daughter just gasped when she saw the interior. I knew I scored making this decision. I was pleased about the coffee maker. There were two queen beds with beautiful bed linens, towels, a small swamp cooler keeping the tent a perfect temperature. Four pillows on the bed, and so much more! Check out the website it's pretty accurate. They provided wood, a bit of kindling, a Firestarter and a bucket of water at the fire pit so it was a dream to start. They do have a gorgeous bath house and yes, you do have to walk to it but if that's a problem you may want to book a condo. My daughter was especially pleased with how clean the tent and glamping site were. My daughter and I have officially been spoiled. Thank you Royal Gorge campgrounds! We will be back.

If you love the sound of idling helicopters, this place is great! If you love listening to semi engine brakes at 2am this place is awesome! Mens Toilets we're also clogged and full of crap too which was awesome! Best of all we had quarter size hail so in an attempt to protect my $80k Tesla I used some towels and blankets to vehicle from damage. Weasealy little owner came into my tent (without knocking) and started cursing at me in front of my 2 , 4 and 9 year old. Which was also cool! I even said I'd be happy to pay for the blankets, which is standard practice at any hotel or inn. Paid 125 for each comforter, then they tried to keep the blankets I just bought? They said I ruined them because they need to be dry cleaned, which is odd because the tags says do not dry clean, wash in cold water... I guess reading is hard.Funniest thing is them telling us we ruined the towels because they got wet and they left the unit. I guess when you shower you can't bring the towels with you, or use them to dry? So to sum up, if you need an overnight place to stay because you want to raft or Zipline and you bring ear plugs, and I guess your own towels, this place is fantastic. The management here however have the intelligence of barn yard animals.
