Decent cafeteria with a beautiful view. Their "Marketplace" offers a variety of food options including grain bowls, chili, chicken fingers, fries, pizza and more. Average price per plate is $16-22; can use the on-mountain 20% off Epic discount to this purchase.

Eagle's Nest is a great restaurant atop the mountain near Lionshead Village. You have to take the Gondola up to actually get here, which I think is a very cool concept. There's a lot to do at the top of the mountain (Adventure Ridge activities) and Eagle's Nest is in the lodge. We were in the private party room for a wedding rehearsal dinner, so we did not actually eat in the restaurant. The food was catered by Eagle's Nest, though, so it was like eating from the menu. The private party area is quite large and provides great views of the mountains from all sides. The room is just encased by huge glass windows so you can see everything from the Adventure Ridge activities to the mountains to the Eagle River. Very beautiful, especially if it's clear and sunny (it was not when we ate here... sad). There's also a great patio area on the other side of the room with outdoor seating and more great views of the mountains. Definitely a great place to retreat after dinner with a cocktail or some tea.The food was very good and the service staff were very friendly. We had cocktails available and a good, large buffet menu. The desserts were lacking, but the dinner food made up for everything. I did venture down to the restaurant area and it looked quite nice. It would definitely be a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner after you've been out having fun on the mountain. Also a good pick for a private party for your small or large group. Good and unique location, for sure.

After a long hike, it doesn't take much for food to taste good. That said, I really only devoured the Wild Rice Soup (size: large), though we also ordered a Caesar Salad and a Pulled Pork Sandwich. It's a buffet style line, so I wasn't expecting gourmet cuisine. The Caesar was drenched in dressing and the sandwich was standard. The soup was delicious!

Always a great stop while you're on the mountain, but this particular visit was Yelp review warranted. Long story short a friend had to leave her ski boots and skis at the restaurant due to unforeseen circumstances, and we picked them up DAYS later with zero damage, or missing equipment. I know them for great cocktails and food everytime I visit, but Mike and Claire put in that extra effort to take care of my friend, and myself.

We love this place! The turkey pot pie and dessert trio (you pick 3 tasting size options from their in-house pastry chef's selections) are just what the doctor ordered after a day at Adventure Ridge. It is also possible to ride the gondola up for dinner apres ski as they are open! Our server, Max, was so personable and helpful that we decided he may be one of our favorite servers in Vail. This is definitely worth the gondola ride!

We loved the view particularly in the summer. We were there for BBQ night. And the pork was delicious. The view was tremendous as well.

Can't believe this is the food they would serve people. Everything is out and the place looks like a college frat house. I'd rather eat there honestly. Over priced is a gross understatement. Especially when the portions are not measured and you can see a wide difference in amount given. We live in 2022. People don't want grease, cheap, over processed food. Vail has gone down hill and it's disappointing to witness.

Worst on mountain food I I have ever eaten. The fries suck. The chicken tenders are tiny (basically nuggets). Sry overpriced but that's par for the course, food should be better for that price though. This is like prison cafeteria food. And the staff is rude. Honestly F vail. It's huge but dull. Way better skiing around the area and the experience fails on all counts. Doubt I'll ever ski here again.

Vail does such a great job in every aspect of the resort except for the food. Had lunch today at Eagles Nest. I tried the soup of the day, broccoli cheddar. It was so bland that I didn't finish it. My friend had a burger and said that it was dry & tasteless. There was not a big selection of food and what was offered seemed more appropriate for children. Very disappointed!
