Edit/Update:I wanted to update this review after the owner reached out to me today. He explained the issue with the new system and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. I am thoroughly impressed because I hadn't asked to speak to a manager or get a call back. I'm not sure how he learned of it, but the fact that he reached out and fixed the issue really says a lot. Selection is fine, however the system to be able to purchase rare bottles is apparently rigged. You must have a membership (I do) and for each dollar you spend you accrue points. In order to buy a rare bottle of bourbon you must have not only the money to do so, but points (amount varies). We've been members for years and shop there regularly, so I was excited to find a bottle of bourbon in the rare bottles case that my husband likes. I asked to purchase it and was told "you need points " so when they looked up my membership...wouldn't you know...zero points. How is that possible, I asked? Oh they switched systems and nothing transferred over. I will probably permanently switch to Newtons even though this store is convenient.

SHOCKINGLY RUDE OWNER! I had a full day and needed to pick up several bottles of wine for a party later in the day. This location is convenient and I have been there a couple times. I arrived about five minutes before they opened and parked right in front of the door. About a minute before opening, the owner started pulling the chains on the beer lights hanging in the windows. Now with lights on and the clock saying they were open, I walked up to the door and pulled. It was locked. What really blew my mind was that the owner was standing directly in front of me, looked me in the eye, and walked away. I thought he was kidding. Nope. I knocked on the door. Nothing. Amazed and not having time to waste, I shrugged my shoulders and got back in my car. Apparently my money is no good here.As a business consultant, I am shocked that such people remain in business with such poor customer service attitudes. Arrogant, indifferent, condescending, and weak-minded, he deserves to be treated like he treats his customers.I drove down Jackson Creek to the liquor store next to Freddie's and was promptly greeted by a nice staff member. Even better, with a massive selection and great ownership is the large liquor store in the Sprouts plaza at Voyager and Northgate. The ONLY way this rude guy is still in business is that people just go there because of the convenient location. Otherwise, he'd be gone.

Wow wow wow! All the negativity! We are new to the area and have been in this store a couple timesAnd have not experienced any rudeness at all. The same guys have been In There and have been friendly and helpful. It seems like your local everyone knows you type of of place. They have a laid back chill vibe seem to know what they are talking about. Offer to try to order product if possible. I guess We look to old to card ( hahaha) because it hasn't happened. Darn! Card us please. Anyway we will go back they have what we are looking for price is ok and service is good. Shoot they are hiring maybe I'll ask fir a job. Then I could review customers. lol

Absolutely no complaints. The two guys behind the counter (I assume at least one is the owner/manager) were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The selection and prices are very good. Definitely will be going here for any alcohol shopping.

First thing you'll notice when you go into this store is that for such a small building they manage to have a great selection. I'm not saying its the best, but for its size it manages to have quite a bit to choose from. Their local beer selection is the best I've seen in north Colorado Springs. As for people complaining about how vigorous they check ID's at this place, well yeah they do check them over pretty hard core, and they do it every time I walk in there. I'm 39 years old but I look 45, but that's their job, and its the law to check if you look under 50. Also, I want them to check my ID as I have had my identity stolen 3 times, and if in all three occasions the thief was simply made to show their ID, I wouldn't have lost as much money as I did. Also, do people realize how much jail and fines the liquors store get if they don't check someone's ID? So these complaints are just stupid. They are a small Liquor store, with a great selection, friendly workers, and yes you will be told to produce an ID every time. Even after they get to know you.

I hate leaving negative reviews but I also hate when businesses advertise an item in stock only to cancel later due to "insufficient stock". Why text and say you have an item back in stock only to cancel my online order a couple minutes after the text was received?

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The owner is extremely rude! I will never shop there again. I recommend the liquor store next to Freddy's off Jackson Creek. They are always friendly and willing to help!

Go somewhere else. There's so many good liquor stores in Monument why go here?Zero reasons. Bad service, bad looks, a scrutinization of ID cards like I've never seen before, anywhere. To include Federal buildings or the Airport. Truly rude people who use convenience next to King Soopers as their only real way to keep going, otherwise they would have had to close a long time ago. An embarrassment to the other business owners in this community. Go to the Cork and Bottle to avoid the Spanish Inquisition at checkout. Especially if you have children, they'll scrutinize you for being them in too.

We visit Eagle Wine exclusively! They are friendly and very helpful with excellent advice--give them a price point and preference, and they will work with you to find the best choice. They always ask to see my ID, which I appreciate given the amount of identity theft/credit card theft out there. Their selection is very good, their pricing is very reasonable, and the store is clean and doesn't smell like stale beer. Overall a great place to shop.
